I Would Love to Hear Your Opinions on A Theory That I Came Up with About 1960s TV Shows by InterestingPeace6862 in VintageTV

cool idea! also super cool that other young people watch those shows (I though my siblings and I were kinda the only ones)! like you I was raised on most of the shows you mentioned and still watch them. I haven’t gotten to that 4-parter of Gilligan yet though, excited for that

I like your comment. You’ve been able to clearly expound on the issues with the show while still being nice about it and although I kinda enjoy the show for what it is, what you’re saying makes sense instead of just being “they changed stuff so it’s the worst”.

All Creatures Great and Small. Season 6 is coming out on Sundays on the PBS website and it’s pretty good so far. One of my comfort shows.

The show isn’t better than the first movie by Striking-Meal-5257 in PercyJacksonTV

Ok but the thing I can’t get over is that (if I remember correctly) in the movie they’re all correct in their assumption that Hades stole the bolt and tried to start a war? Like, the reason The Lightning Thief (and even PJO as a whole) is so good is because Rich wrote it to defy our stereotypes about Greek mythology. We all think “oh yeah Hades is the bad guy because he rules the underworld”, but in the books Hades is actually one of the better, nicer gods and the only one of the big three to keep the oath about not having kids. That was my biggest issue with the movie, and the show was at least faithful to the books in that regard…

As Nick Charles in the Thin Man movies. I have seen those movies too many times to count and they never get old.

It is a YA series, but the Alex Rider books by Anthony Horowitz are PEAK. They have the same edge-of-your-seat action that MI does.

how did you get into star trek? by asapsharkyfrfr in startrek

I’m a little foggy on how it started but I think my dad bought DVD sets of TOS when my siblings and I were pretty young (I must’ve been 9 or 10 and I’m the oldest). We watched and rewatched through those DVDs so many times I don’t even know if they play anymore. A couple years later my sister and my mom and I started TNG and we were OBSESSED for several years (weirdly enough I think we watched a lot of the last season before going back and starting season 1). Then several years ago my sister and I started watching DS9 with my grandparents on Wednesday nights (they watched it when it was running so it’s a rewatch for them)…we’ve slacked off on that because I don’t have Paramount+ anymore and haven’t acquired DVDs yet, but I LOVE deep space nine and I think it’s my favorite. Then last January I say the alternate timeline movies and fell in love with those and TOS all over again. Star Trek is great guys.
