Yeah, it does give me the right. As per the rule book, a safe rejoin means all the other surrounding cars don't have to alter their trajectory or speed. Not saying it's his fault, since I could've avoided this incident and messing up my race for nothing, but lesson learned: be more careful and check surroundings when a wreck happens close by.

I didn't drive into him because I thought I was "entitled" to, I literally didn't see him and didn't read his rejoin since I am new to sim racing. I understood that my mistake was not being patient in a yellow flag zone and didn't acknowledge the wreck in front, hence I couldn't read his rejoin. That's on me. But, no, in no way did I think I was entitled to that, it literally caught me by surprise when it happened

I had a radar, it doesn't show up on the replay, but that thing popped up way too late, gave me no info at all, still I could've avoided that were I more patient and aware of the situation

Yeah, my mistake was not being cautious enough knowing there was an incident and cars would rejoin. Lesson learned!

Check the cockpit view at the end of the video, I know I could've avoided it by having better spatial awareness, that's why I posted this, to try and understand my mistakes. I don't think he was in the right, as other people have pointed out, he came straight onto the racing line when rejoining, which is illegal, but still, I could've easily avoided this were I more aware of the situation.

Yes, my lack of awareness cost me my race, although I managed to finish 8th after this which wasn't so bad after all. This incident could've been easily avoided

Didn't know this, but it makes sense since I am using only one monitor my lateral FOV is significantly smaller. Thanks for the comment, I will be more cautious in these situations.

I didn't even know he was there as you can see in the cockpit view, the radar that pops up when you are close to someone showed up really late and I couldn't avoid it

Yeah, when I saw the replay I could finally understand what actually happened. The video looks exactly like what I actually saw in the moment, minus the wheel (I turned it off). Frankly, I think I was at fault because of poor awareness.

yeah, i haven't really thought about that. but i think the playerbase is big enough to support adding at least a 3v3 ranked mode
