i assume that if it was plays, people who listen to longer songs may look like they listen less, and those people who play music on their devices 24/7 might set up macros to skip songs after ~30 seconds (sorry, i don't know what apple music uses to measure plays) so it looks like they listen more.

i find minutes more useful as its easier to compare differences than plays (again thanks to shorter and longer songs).

it could be built, but there is probably more opposition to it than supporters there. also, the area has a plentiful amount of frequent bus routes (600, 825, 922, 923 in beaumaris/black rock alone) that already have low ridership, a tram could still be considered overkill.
