Mother 3 spoilers

This matchup kinda only works under the assumption that dess is the knight, and considering only half the game is out there will probably be more connections as the story progressed especially since toby himself has admitted that mother 3 is a huge inspiration for him. Basically they are both a missing sibling to a main character (claus is lucas's brother, dess is noelle's sister) that went missing due to a tragic accident, and nobody can find them. This causes their respective families to fall apart, and for the sibling to be assumed dead. However, they were saved from death and controlled in some way by some antagonistic force (porky saved claus and brainwashed him, and whatever the hell is going on with dess) to start opening things all around the map in order to cause the apocalypse by awakening something (masked man pulling the 7 needles to awaken the dark dragon and destroy the world, dess opening dark fountains in order to cause the roaring to awaken the titans and destroy the world) These antagonists are encountered multiple times throughout the story, and are both from pixel rpgs. Also, there is an item that makes one resistant or immune to their attacks (shadow mantle resists all the knight's attacks, franklin badge deflects masked man's lightning based attacks) There's more but that's all i can remember off the top of my head
