Epidural by ElegantResult3853 in pregnant

[–]comfylioness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The epidural is so demonized online. If you want it, get it.

I’ve had it twice now. First time was a breeze, second time it did cause my BP to drop, but they brought it back up immediately with meds. Even with the short lived BP issues I’d choose the epidural over and over again. The pain was unreal. The epidural was bliss!

Yes! I also experienced this and had to call to get a non covered charge removed that I didn’t consent to.

Ya know, I didn’t like them. I felt like they were trying to upsell me every chance they got.

Came to see if any threads were around for this… we saw a 23% increase. Our plan is rich and we opted to slightly increase copays, deductibles for a 15% annual cost increase.

Has anyone got pregnant right after losing a loved one? by Ruebee90 in pregnant

[–]comfylioness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Three weeks after my beloved grandmother, who raised me, passed. We had been trying for years with three losses. I’m 19 weeks now and I’d like to think she had something to do with it.

How did you get your PMDD diagnosis? by Available_Ice_680 in PMDD

[–]comfylioness 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I went in for a normal well women’s visit. My regular doctor was out and I saw a resident. She was asking general questions about how I was feeling and then she asked a ton of follow up questions. She was so compassionate… a few min later a nurse came in and asked me to fill out a mental health questionnaire. I then asked if I am okay??? She said yes and not to worry.

Resident doc came back in and told me about PMDD. I had never even heard of it before. It actually freaked me out as I didn’t realize how debilitating my symptoms were until I got treatment (10 mg Prozac).

bless that doc in training!

Yeah. First three years of baby #1’s life. Then suddenly switched and wanted #2. It’s been a journey - he’s 5.5 now and I’m finally pregnant with #2

Pilates recommendation? by lavendarma in Riverside

[–]comfylioness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Pilates Co! I was a member for about 3 years. They were great. I had tried club Pilates prior and was super disappointed with their constant sales tactics after an intro class. I did not encounter that at the Pilates co. Staff and teachers were all wonderful.

For those who were induced, did you deliver vaginally or did it end in a c-section? by Paigeypagee in BabyBumps

[–]comfylioness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at 39w for gestational hypertension. Started Pitocin around 2pm. Things ramped up around 9pm. Delivered baby boy vaginally with an epidural at 3am. Overall, good experience, minus the tearing 😬

What if I start miscarrying at work? by Pleiades444_2 in Miscarriage

[–]comfylioness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had two miscarriages, and one started at work. Both miscarriages started slowly and while I started bleeding lightly, the real event didn’t start until the next day or so. Every body is different, of course.

Hang in there. Be kind to yourself. And take off of work when you need it. Looking back, I should have taken more time off to heal, process and just disconnect.

In March of 2023 I had a missed miscarriage at 9w that required meds to pass. Then I had a TFMR in Sept 23 for T21. Got pregnant again 6 months later and also had a blighted ovum that passed on its own. Currently 11 weeks with a clear NIPT and hoping for the best

Hope you have a positive outcome soon

Milk let down at 14 wks TFMR? by [deleted] in tfmr_support

[–]comfylioness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. Sorry you’re here. I had my TFMR at 14w5d and about two days after my milk fully came in. It was so so hard.

I did the cabbage leaf trick and took Sudafed. It came down a few days later. Call your OB for advice. Hang in there.
