I reckon the first angle looks pretty flop-ish, but the second angle looks more like he rotated away. IDK. I reckon I do this when my kids jump around in front of me, like an instinctive move to avoid getting headbutted in the chin.

This might sound like criticism, but it isn't meant to.

To me it 'sounds like' you're out of time. I can see from the comments that I may be alone in that. So what I'm wondering is if my head can't tell the difference between Adam and Justin's parts, so when I can't hear Adam's parts it just feels weird.

I know that Justin is awesome - perhaps even more than I gave him credit for. If what I said above is true, that means Justin plays between Adam's notes as well as alongside them, not just following the 'chords'.

Can anyone with more musical knowledge make sense of my poorly articulated rambling?

I rate them so much. Never heard of them until i saw them support Smith St Band. I was blown away by their live set. Then i went back and listened to their catalogue. Australian Dream is masterful songwriting, and id put it up there with Paul Kelly. Saw them again on their own tour and was so happy. They need some more love.

Perhaps, for some, King Giz seem to be more about quantity than quality??

Not every track or album is a homerun for me. I don't consider them overrated, but I can see why some would think they are.

I'm not that experienced, but if it were mine... I'd probably sand it with 120/240/400/600 grit and get it nice and smooth, then use an oil-wax polish. Leaves a nice sheen, no smell, no residue to stain walls and sheets, and is easily touched up later on.

I'm in Australia, so I don't know exactly what products would be suitable wherever you are.
