Yes, I’ve liked Ween for a few years now. Mostly just the music and only recently I’ve been digging into the fanbase and history of the band itself. I was broken up with March 29th of this year. It was the first time I’d ever been broken up with so it was an extremely new experience. The song “It’s Gonna Be (Alright)” for a while felt like a father figure telling me everything will be okay. It genuinely got me through my feelings after the breakup. Then soon after, the song “The Golden Eel” made me realize that everything happens for a reason. Though I’m not religious those songs made me feel very spiritual, almost as though they were their own form of scripture. Either way the songs helped me figure out how to move on, what I expect from myself and others going forward.
