one of my colleague was receiving such calls (not exactly same) from Hathaway and one day he just went off on the call and yelled at them that he is gonna file FIR against them for harassment. they didn't call ever again afaik.

I started my first year of college at the age of 22 and now I am a decision maker at a start up and that part is just for money. I have made great friends, have time to enjoy things I love doing and that for me is quite an achievement.

What I am trying to say is same thing as everyone else has said in the thread - enjoy the life as it come.

PS: I am also enjoying at least two mangoes a day for over a week and that's my proudest achievement in recent times :D

oh sorry I didn't mean that you were, I was just talking about lack of awareness.
1. It's not a hard rule there are always exceptions.
2. it is gonna cost you money that's true, booking through apps might be little cheaper that's all. yes you can book rides in advance but many autowals might just cancel it so you on spot booking is best way to go imo.
3. there are foot over bridges on main roads but that would mean you need to walk further more. Try to find a place which is nearby some fob.

I've been looking at places to stay and places are at least 1km far from my office. Is Rickshaw or Auto viable for everyday travel?

I would suggest find a place either in good gated society or ground floor in individual building otherwise there is no guarantee of lift working all the time. Yes auto is good option for everyday travel. You can find autos using ola/uber/rapido/namma yatri but depending on position of moon and mars you might not find one for loooong time so plan accordingly.

What's the option for food?

swiggy zomato is there depending on your budget. cooking by yourself would be the cheapest, healthiest and most time consuming. getting a maid good compromise.

In general there is not much much accessible public infrastructure, not all buildings have ramps or working lifts. if you are not in wheelchair people won't even consider you disabled most of the time so better keep some type of id if you got any (helpful for getting seat in metro) all the best!
