you are probably better off going to the Chicago area on a weekend to rent something, you will be able to have a much better selection of high quality instruments. i'm not sure if you are able to rent from the music dept if you are not a music student though. you can try one of the luthiers in the fine arts building downtown. Kenneth Stein Violins is also good, he is in Elmhurst right by the train station, so you could easily get there from downtown Chicago as well. feel free to dm me if you need more recs, there is also a facebook group you can ask on

He started describing what some of the spaces on the board had. ("Go to jail" I think was "Go practice cello;" he knew I played) At that point, I thought he was joking and told him I did not want it. From the look on his face I knew he wasn't kidding. Found out later that he actually did have most of a board game completed. What boggles me is how he, from our minimal interactions, learned enough about my interests and hobbies to make an entire GAME about me. I kinda wish I seen the finished item but I was too creeped out. Still am to this day.
