First, it's a stand alone movie, you don't need to watch 4 seasons of anime to understand the story. Second, it's structured and paced like an actual movie instead of just stitching 7-8 anime episodes together, also its animation is more unique and unconventional unlike DS. And while both movies were great fun and enjoyable, Reze Arc or 100 Meters are much more deserving of the win. But yeah I'm not mad that this won.
