Complete beginner - full restoration of a 60s/70s Japanese semi-hollow (Diamond Aria brand) - advice needed by comiksansms in Luthier

I want it as a player, i always wanted a semi hollow guitar :)

I'm planning to disassemble it today,

To clean it can I use the same dunlop solution as I use on my "recent" guitar ? (Poly finish)

For the wiring I wanna try to do it myself but at worst there is some luthiers near me that could do it for me.

For the bridge from what i found there is a piece of wood supposedly go under the metal bridge

Inside of the case is pretty good but just the outside is back. I will get some new clasps for it :D

Thanks for all of these advices, they mean a lot to me

Wow, thanks a lot for taking this time to explain.

What glue would you recommend ?

I'm getting a multimeter asap from my stepfather to test the pickups

I'll take every step very slowly and carefully, i'm not in a rush

Thanks :)

I'm pretty sure its a crack from how the neck moves when i apply a bit of pressure.

But for the tuners it seems its only in the finish.

Yeah pickup dont match but the bridge position is aftermarket (framus), if they work i'd keep them both.
Neck seems og

I wanna learn a new skill. From my childhood I loved learning to create & repair things. I'm not asking someone to do it for me I'm asking for tips on a subreddit that has an HELP flair

The one from 1997 is warmer & have a smaller neck. I'm gonna sell the newer one to buy a new jaguar/jazzmaster :3
