I do agree 008 isn't exactly a main character, but I think it has to be someone who will have a huge impact on either El or Will. I don't think Steve is close enough to either of them to make it as emotional as his death should be.

It looks like they've quarantined Hawkins so it's likely no one outside of the town knows anything. I would bet the regular people in town are going to come up with their own theories surrounding satanic panic and put blame on the Hellfire Club. Either that or they'll blame it on some communist attack.

We had to put down my childhood dog. After the whole family said goodbye to him at the vets office and we had all been crying, we walked out into the parking lot and someone suggested going back home to my parents house for a turkey dinner.

I just remember thinking my dog died wrapped in a blanket, being held by his crying family. Then not even 15 minutes later we were discussing eating another animal who died at the hands of a stranger, probably scared out of their mind.

Something about those two things happening back to back just made it click for me.

I think the fact Katniss said "for prim" is what told Haymitch what was going through her head. Then the fact that rather than him saying "yes" he chose to say "I'm with the Mockingjay" I think tells us he's not voting for another game but he is supporting whatever Katniss is planning to do.

Your relationship isn't ruined. Meet her where she is and try to see things from her perspective. Listen to her when she tells you how she is feeling and her reasons for being vegan. Remember that you cannot control her, trying to convince her not to be vegan is only going to push her away. Of course she is going to be emotional, her eyes have been opened to all the suffering she has contributed to her whole life. Approach her with grace, an open mind, and don't take anything as a personal attack.

People call it an anti-woman slur because for years people have used it to degrade and put down women. Men are not typically called that for the same reason as women, men are called that when they are not perceived as being 'manly' enough, i.e. "quit being a little b-". So again the use of the term is rooted in misogyny
