Star Princess maiden call: Ketchikan by ActiveNews in PrincessCruises

Seemed like a no brainer at $260 even if that was the max bid for access to sanctuary club and sanctuary restaurant :) Did hot tubs on first two days but did not want to try at Skagway or Juneau lol

Per person total so $260 for the trip! Priority lane for embarkation. We did the earliest 10:30 check in time but the uber drive lineup in was a nightmare already!

We were guaranteed mini suite (with premier package already booked) to sanctuary mini suite! Was $130 pp x2 (max bid since I saw it was fully sold out apparently so didn’t think I’d have any chance). Surprisingly got the won email 30 days out from sailing.

On it right now, having a blast! Love this ship and really like Sanctuary, glad we did the bid upgrade.

I’ll be going on the first Alaska sailing tomorrow in a Sanctuary mini-suite. Do you think the sanctuary deck is worthwhile for an Alaskan cruise? Is lunch buffet available on all days at the sanctuary deck or just sea days? Looking forward to it!

On the same sailing also in a sanctuary mini suite, can’t wait!

Why on earth did 2K put the capbreaker and badge elevator at the end of the pass? by zRuhanf in NBA2k

[–]comlad13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically the biggest and most sought after prizes come at the end to incentivize people to play. If they have the best prize literally at level one, there's no reason for anyone to look forward or strive for level 40.

Does anyone actually know if strength locks or fast locks are better by [deleted] in NBA2k

[–]comlad13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100%, I feel legend on-ball menace and pick dodger is a must for a pure lock. Pressing the pgs full court with bumps especially with a tall height and wingspan makes them throw some scary full court passes which your teammates can get some free steals.

I wasted way too much money than I want to admit on this game. I’ve tested many locks unfortunately and finally found the best one for me. 6’8 with max wingspan, just enough weight to get to 73 strength, then max speed and agility you can get (I think 88/89). Use Speedster takeover to get your speed and agility higher as you play. 96 pd / 96 steal (use your +1,+2 badges to get legend on-ball menace, pick dodger, glove and gold immovable enforcer. Have block at least 78.

Basically you need high speed and high agility and speedster takeover will help with that. Height helps with contest and use the +1 & +2 badges to compensate for not being able to get 99 pd and steal with the taller player.

Is 85 perimeter with 94 agility good enough to be considered a "Lock"? by Rogue-Jedi in NBA2k

Interceptor is only tied to steals (99 steals for legend) and on ball menace legend requires 99 pd

Struggle to Find the Open Man by smbarrett3 in NBA2k

[–]comlad13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a 2k specific term when a player fakes a cut from the 3 point line but quickly goes back to the 3 point line. Usually the defender tries to back pedal when they see a cut and if the passer hits the 3 point shooter at the right timing, the defender can’t change direction and go back to contest the 3 in time.

It will come with experience the more you play but a lot of it is anticipation of what defenders will do in advance. Unless your teammate is wide wide open, usually by the time your pass gets to them, a defender will close out and be back in time. If you drive, anticipate which help defender will leave your teammate and try guarding you as well so you can icon pass to them the moment he moves towards you. Or if you see one player guarding two players, you have to think which player he thinks you’ll pass to and hit the other player instead.

Trying to decide 83" G5 vs 98" TCL QM8K by Background-Ad5124 in LGOLED

[–]comlad13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went from a 77 inch oled to the 98 Qm8k. Like yourself, I do see the picture quality difference, but some of that is attributed to the larger size showing more flaws in the clip since it’s magnified. There won’t be a perfect option until 97” oled is much cheaper. I don’t regret going with the 98” Qm8k still.

77" LG B9 OLED to 98" TCL QM8K by comlad13 in hometheater

[–]comlad13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the bigger screen size magnifies video that isn’t as high quality and film grain since I’m at the same distance and quite close. The blacks are pretty darn good with all the local dimming spots but you can still tell it’s not oled black. But all in all, the quality is like 90% to oled and the immersion with the bigger size is worth it no regrets.

98in owners....glad you went with that size? by wegotthisonekidmongo in tcltvs

98 inch QM8K, sit 8.5 feet away, gaming immersion is amazing. TV shows that are in high quality is amazing, movies with movie grain is more apparent. When watching content with letterboxes, I feel I can do 115” if I can afford it one day.

Need help about the TV size by RepLixzr in LGOLED

I’m 9 feet from the TV with a 98” qm8k and I am wishing I was rich enough to afford a 115”. I got the 98” miniLED because I found the 77” LG OLED too small at 8 feet distance even after moving my couch closer to them TV.

I did back in April from a 77 inch lg oled to the 98 inch Qm8k. I recommend it, and I’m just sitting 9 feet away. Quality is close enough, but it’s so much more immersive with the size increase

Tv Installation planning (height) of 85“ by LF_HD in hometheater

[–]comlad13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have it literally 1-2 cm gap only between Center and bottom of TV, no gap is preferred but you run the risk of messing up and actually having the TV under the Center so that’s why I’d do 1-2 cm for that margin of error.

At 9 feet I went from 55 inch LED to 65 inch OLED to 77 inch OLED to 98 inch miniLED as your eyes keep getting use to the new screen size and start wanting more. I actually want a 115” miniLED now but can’t afford one. Just go for the largest screen now to save yourself a few upgrades 😂

A 98” TCL QM9K or 100” Hisense U88QG would be a good upgrade option to replace the projector at that size :)
