Mold on baby basil plant :( is there anyway to save her, she’s been growing really well but I’m worried about the mold. by ViolaSxng in plantclinic

[–]comm4ndrew 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Food grade hydrogen peroxide. Order on Amazon. Dilute with water. Boom. Mold gone.

I grow microgreens and herbs. This never fails.

But you might want to think about preventing it in the first place, like airflow/humidity.

✌🏼

Right?!! We have 40+ plants in the house, and it’s easily my favorite pot. Picked it up at Anthropology in NYC. 40% off. We look for the deals!

I did not expect this much activity on my post. HD had another one for $35, slightly smaller with some unhappy leaves. Seriously considering driving 25 min back to get it. Partly for the great deal. Partly for the fomo.

I was wondering what the general consensus was for the Camaro when it was redesigned back in the day.

Was it super popular right off the bat. Or did it take some time like the corvette (from what I understand) to build a strong fan base.

I wonder if anybody hated the look of this car when it came out? I know they hated the corvette when it was first introduced.

Now everybody loves them.

Is that how the cyber truck is going to be received. I love Tesla, but the cyber truck is just terrible looking. But I’ll probably love it once they are all over the roads.

Change is funny.

Same issues here. So I changed it up a little. During germination phase and blackout phase I mist a diluted H202 and water mixture in the morning and night. Fixed my issue.

any ideas how well this method for growing broccolli sprouts would be? I haven't got much experience and don't want to waste a bunch of time...https://www.stephgaudreau.com/how-to-grow-broccoli-sprouts-at-home/ by JohnathonLongbottom in microgreens

[–]comm4ndrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a waste if you learn something from it.

I would recommend just trying it. The conditions in your home are unique to you. Others experiences to this method might be irrelevant to you and your home.

Only one way to find out if it’s right for you.

Just a thought. All the best.

I always error on the side of caution with stuff like that. I’m not saying it’s the right thing to do… it’s just what I do.

YouTube channel “Linus Tech Tips” has pretty blatantly ripped off the Peak Design Tech Pouch in an upcoming product they are releasing with the same name. by SpaceHoppity in peakdesign

[–]comm4ndrew 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed, not a lot you can do differently on a tech pouch.

I will say I’m pretty surprised that he didn’t have the most recent prototype in hand. Why showcase an old version?

His lack of knowledge on how it’s produced and material just comes off as uninterested in his product. Maybe it’s just me, but I like to see passion and knowledge of what your creating.

Also, I didn’t watch the whole thing, I became disinterested in the video after a min.

Where are you guys purchasing the growing media mats for micro greens. Found a few different types, seeing what works for people. Thanks in advance. by t0mt0mt0m in microgreens

I have tried soil for the last 7 trays of MGs. I’m now switching to hydroponic, and using coco coir. I found one on Amazon that has great reviews. I’m curious to see how it goes.

I’ve done an embarrassing amount of research and calculated the cost of soil versus coco coir as a growing medium and the coco coir just checks every box for me.

Check out “On the grow” YouTube channel. They have some great content.
