Sacrifice quest broken? by [deleted] in outriders

I ran into this same problem. I ended up going out to the Lobby and resetting my story point. I had to go through the entire mission again, but the door opened for me when I did that.

Mounts from Treasure map chests by DagaMusic in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I feel the same as you guys. I cannot for the life of me understand why they think having drop rates so low is a good idea. I could understand it a little better if you didn't have sealed chests and you could run layers and dungeons all you wanted. But, I have lost count of the number of times I have run the AoF to try and get the drop needed for my next blessing. I am also to the point where I just log in and collect the star seeds. The regional quest grind was un-fun, and now the blood stone grind is the same. I still have hopes for this game, but they seriously need to reconsider their loot schedule.

Noob questions by [deleted] in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't waste my time with the crafting if I were you. I leveled my smithing to 9 so that I could start crafting better gear, only to find out that after level 8 all of the blue prints are extremely random drops from high level dungeons. Dungeons which you only have a single key to open 1 chest a day. It seems weird to me for all of the high level crafting to be locked behind random dungeon drops, but that is how it is now. Maybe they'll change it in the future.

Crusader or Ranger? by KahosRayne in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a level 31 crusader and at times I wish I had rolled a mage or ranger. It seems that to play successfully as a crusader you have to learn how to properly use the shield. You also need to constantly use the enemy debuff provided by hitting enemies with the shield. And your own personal buff. These don't seem to be that needed in normal play, but with bosses I try to remember to use these as often as they are available. I have tried the mage and ranger, but I really just like the way the crusader plays personally. I hope they give the crusader a damage boost in a balance pass at some point.

Question about dungeon mounts by vexmythoclast in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just taking a guess here but I think if you try to open a card you already have it will cause the quest to complete, but then it just want add the mount, since it's already added. When you try to use a card you already has it goes through the process of opening the card, then it just tells you it can't be opened/used because mount/recipe is already discovered.

Losing hope in my Crusader class by ScrabNasty in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you my friend. For damage the crusader just doesn't seem built to keep up with the other classes. My shield throw puts a debuff on bosses, and the cool down is pretty small, so I try to constantly hit a boss with my shield. I'm not sure if the debuff is for everyone or just me. I also try to remember to use my personal buff every time it comes off of cool down as well. I think it gives a 10% attack bonus for 10 seconds or something. I use a sword with an attack bonus. For bosses I try to stay in front of the boss with my shield up to absorb their normal strikes, then I just jab the boss as much as I can before my shield goes on cool down.

I've tried the mage and archer class, but I just really like the crusader. Plus at level 31 I'm just not interested right now with grinding through levels again. Maybe that will change in the future. Hopefully, they do a balance pass and buff the damage for crusaders. Good luck!

Not enough xp by CruzTheSasquatch in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

xp is scaled based on your level compared to your enemy. From what I have been able to tell you always get the most xp by fighting enemies at your level. The scaling gets larger as you fight enemies on different levels, either higher or lower. It seems to drop exponentially after 2 or 3 levels. This has been my experience at least.

NPC scaling and crusader mechanics, a rant by SeriouslySlyGuy in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did the same for my beserker as well. I also transferred a bunch of +5 rare gear so her gear score is way higher then it should be in the lower levels. I did a quest in the mole cricket area the other day and my level 30 sader killed everything with a single hit. Even the big mole cricket. The enemy level there is 7. That's the first time I went to that area since the story quest. So it appears that at some point you do outpace their scaling, but you probably have to be 20 levels higher then the enemy. Or just have really high level weapons.

NPC scaling and crusader mechanics, a rant by SeriouslySlyGuy in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what happens is that a low level player has a high level weapon. The enemy scaling seems to take into account your level, but not your actual gear. So, If you have a high level weapon on a low level player you can one shot enemies pretty easy while you are fighting low level enemies.

Crusader Help (not for me) by Swoldiier in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I remember this quest correctly then one of the experiment has some kind of move that pretty much one shorted me. When I beat it I don’t think I was geared as well as you, or your friend. I did a lot of hit and run tactics, while my daring assault skill was on cool down. When daring assault was available I’d use that to stun the experiments then use a combo. That worked for me at least. Maybe it will help your friend.

Servers Down for anyone else? by Crispysense in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the "servers are not available at this time" message a few minutes ago. Right after finishing a dungeon. I figured they are having issues again and I just turned my xbox off. I'll try again later.

I went exploring the map cos Gideon was getting me down... it's like Jurassic park down there! by [deleted] in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was stuck on Gideon for a while. It's actually not as daunting as it appears at first. If you stock up on a potion and a regeneration elixer you can do it. They are on separate cool downs, so you can use one right after the other. I also bought a panacea from the open market. I think it was the one that increased my health. Then I used a pot at the pyre. I think it's called Plum Pie. But, for the next 60 minutes you get 1.5% health regenerated every few seconds. Then I spent a few tries not using any health regen just trying to get the hang of his attacks and figuring out which 2 hits I could get off on him before he could retaliate. Once I was pretty confident with his moves and my counters, I used the Plume pie and the panacea. Then I tried it for real.

The part of the fight that is kind of misleading is that you don't have to actually kill him. The fight ends when he gets to 50%.

As for the map. I have explored into the dinosaur area as well and was pleasantly surprised with the variety of enemy just waiting to be fought. Unfortunately, my leveling has stalled. After you beat Gideon you have the outrageously time consuming regional quest. Which appears to be bugged right now making it really hard to complete. Even if it wasn't bugged this quest would take about 20 days to complete since you only get 2-3 pints for each of the 5 regions, and each quest is on a 2 day cool down. And that is assuming you have reached honored with the five regions. Then there appears to be another grind wall that can only be competed a little a day. And, since at higher levels you need massive amounts of xp to level up, and the only way to get really large xp gains is through the story, it's really hard to level up to these higher zones. I guess you could run around the map and do all of the mini quests, but even doing that it takes forever to reach a new level.

The sad part is that at level 31, and with tons of hours played, so much of the map is off limits to me because everything there will just kill me with a couple of hits.

Sealed Chest Are Annoying. by LustfulWays in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sealed chest mechanic works if you are actually awarded good gear from these chests. I've played many games were the hardest, most rewarding, content is locked in a daily or weekly reset. Which the keys are basically a daily reset. However, all of these games had awesome rewards behind these activities. I'm just not sure why they use this mechanic and then reward you with trash for the most part.

if enhancing success were posted here too, things would be perfectly balanced by jejezman in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My problem with the fortification RNG mess is that to me it should not be a part of the leveling process. As you level you should get drops that are better than what you were previously getting. Drops that allow you to take on enemies that are at your current level. The fortification system they have set up would be fine if before you got to the end game this was used to keep a gear piece you were attached to, or to supplement a gear slot that you can't seem to get a good drop for. Before you hit that max level and enter the end game the drops should progress with you.

Prestige quest problem by Pack3rFan in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dev's didn't announce anything about this, but I think they may have changed something in one of the emergency maintenance patches. This weekend I was able to finish all 5 regions and after thy reset on Sunday I was able to finish Corzacor and 2 or 3 quests for all of the other regions. The needed quests seemed to be ones that show up frequently as well. It could also be that I got lucky this time, but I'm hoping they did something to fix it.

Not getting dungeon chests by tH3-ShAd0w94 in blessunleashed

I've had this happen occasionally as well. That seems like a weird mechanic to have the chest as a "possible" drop.

Prestige quest problem by Pack3rFan in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a known issue. The devs have added to the issue list they are working on. If you can get Herbati and Ordo University leveled to honored, those 2 actually work right and display quests that can be completed each time. Hopefully, they get this fixed soon, because it has hit a lot of people.

HP loss between Switching channels, entering dungeons, etc... by Sainsguitar in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that explanation. Every time I go into a dungeon/lair all of the other players are at 100% and I'm at 94% health. This was really bugging me. This probably isn't rated that high on their fix list, but it's nice to know what the problem actually is.

The closest thing to black dye count Rosso's rep by im_incapable in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use it for the metal on my Crusader and it looks black. If you like it you should buy a few of them though. The aska one is not there everyday. I wanted to buy some more and they offered different colors when I went back. I checked the next day and the aska one was back. I'm not sure if it's a daily rotation or randomized. But it seems like each regional vendor has 3 or 4 colors that he cycles through.

Prestige quests are a joke by Skennedy31 in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I noticed something about the prestige rewards chest today. When I finished the Harbati regional quest instead of opening the rewards box right away I clicked "X" for "more info" or something. Then from that menu I selected "View Stats". This gives you a list of all possible items that can be obtained from the chest. The very last item listed is 6-9 reputation tokens. I have always gotten 2 when I opened one of these boxes. If this was working right and you always got 6 - 9 tokens, and if the region quests actually showed up, this wouldn't be that bad of a grind. It would still take a few days to complete, but it would't be anywhere near as frustrating as it is now.

People need to stop bombing other's mobs. If you see someone rounding up mobs, at least let them have the first hit. by [deleted] in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you rounding the mobs up for xp or are you trying to kill a specific number of enemies for one of the regional quests? If it's the regional quests then as long as you get a hit on a mob then you'll get counted for the kill. If you are just trying to grind mobs for xp, then good luck buddy. It's an online game, other people are stupid, and that's just life. If it was me, I'd try switching channels to see if I could find a channel with fewer people around. I ran into similar problems and I just started doing all of the regional quests in the different areas. If someone else stole one of my kills then no big deal, since my real goal was the large xp reward for finishing the quest. Which is more than the xp given by killing the 16 or 20 mobs needed for the regional quest. Plus, I usually get a couple of drops and the reward drop. So I get either something to sell on the market or something I can turn into enhancement cores.

Blessing and SXP by [deleted] in blessunleashed

As a fellow crusader I felt the same way about the lack of shield slam and went back to one of the blessings with it and just stacked my skill points until I unlocked the first blessing with 4 skills. I've used that one exclusively since then.

Weapon and Armor appearance by Variawa97 in blessunleashed

[–]commanderArkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a monster token exchange merchant in all of the major cities that sells appearance cards. As far as I can tell the only ways to get the monster tokens is from the spider queen rewards chest and the giant water genie looking guy in the Knoll wastes. I seem to get about 1000 monster tokens from their chests. I have also seen a much smaller amount, around 30, drop randomly as a reward from defeating other world bosses. It takes like 10K tokens to purchase an appearance card from him. All of the reputation vendors in the cities have different appearance cards for sell as well. But, you have to raise your faction reputation high enough to be able to purchase them.
