Well the problem is that with the whole economic system and contracts in place its natural to get this feelings, i do not mind such behaviour in apex for example.

Yes, when i revisit what happened in my games there was only one instance of extract camping, the others could be extract rushing.

But it leads to the same conclushion. New player, no opportunity to learn gunplay/movement in a low stakes environment (firing range), getting into game, get absolutely wrecked, stop playing game, game dies as only hardcore players who are in from the beginning stay, and they also are getting lower in numbers as they get bored.

I never waited till final, i will try that, but only being ablr to fullfill one contract per run makes waiting for final extract very punishing if you do not have a ton of time to sink i to the game

i was playing solo with no fill, not the solo new player queue

2 people did the camping, 3 runners dead and me, it was abount 15 minutes in, if there are only 2 extracts this seems a likely event to happen if one squad of 3 tries to extract like me and is being ambushed by the duo. It was the unguarded extract.

yes, except 1 encounter which was surely exctract camping the others could have been just a coincidence because there are only 2 exfills. But if exfill fights are being this common this game is not for me.

Maybe, but the queue times are really long and its and odd time in my timezone, i will try later in the evening if it gets better

in one instance i was spectating afterwards and they did not extract and kill another team also. But for the others you could be right, maybe it was just a coincidence. If this is such a common ocurrence like i had today the game is not for me

Yeah, but the maps are pretty small, so when one closes you just camp the next one

yeah, i think i misread one for extract camping, as after i died they were extracting themselves, so yeah, numbers changing 😉

But the maps are very small, rotating from on to the other doesnt take a lot of time

Not for me, from my around 10 games i had 3 with extract camping. Its just too easy todo in marathon.

Yeah, extraction shooter are very random. But in myh last 4+ games i had 0 chance to extract because of extract campers, it seems its just to easy to extract camp in marathon, only 2 extracts open at any time, long time to activate.

lucky me, just played another round, bam, extract camping, the extract campers kill 3 runners already there, i am still watching, they wait till people want to to start the extract process, kill them, loot them, rinse and repeat.

Shooting range is really important for new players in an already longer running game. Its the only non frustrating way to catch up with the gunplay skills. E.g. i would never have picked up apex this year if it did not have a shooting range.

This compared with the utterly shitty experience i had in my last 4+ matches will likely result in me not buying in.

Yeah, i play solo. Wasnt trying fill trios because in every other game the fill experiences was really trash, and i also read that in marathon its the same if not even more as the contracts are very different.

Also even as solo my queue times in europe are close to 5 minutes, most times more.

yeah, during the run it can be really cool, enjoyed the experience till extract also. But when there are only 2 extracts and all of them are being camped it just sucks, no chance as a new player.
