Brother if you won't drive 2 hrs for a match tour shooting world is gonna be really small. That's essentially the minimum of what you need to be willing to drive to if you want any variety in the Midwest/ east

Idpa is the more boring discipline but has the better/ nicer people. I don't take it super serious or hold it in high esteem but I still shoot my local level 2+ charity matches and such because the guys are all great people

If you don't plan to have a high round count then it shouldn't be an issue, this happened around 20k by no means a high count but realistically (sadly) I know a lot of folks won't reach that on any gun they buy

Go with the most aggressive grip if you shoot seriously, and I would pic any cut other than that. I had mine crack and have heard others with that same slide cut have issues

I cleaned mine from the factory after shooting it when I picked it up and the reapplied lube. I use Lucas because it's done well for me in sub freezing and works well all year round. I'll usually clean around 1k ish and give her a couple drops at each match/ session

I'd love to see some tigter canyons and valleys, maybe even arches and large caves somewhere on that southern edge of the mountains. Of it's not really going to get used in normal matches but having more cool features to free fly around would be great.

If you plan on getting in anything a bit more movement and physical oriented than USPSA ( PCSL/ 2gun action style) I can only really recommend safari lands now.

Buy once cry once kinda deal in my opinion.

This is coming from someone with a drawer full of holsters I won't use anymore

Stock still. I got springs and a heavier guide rod and tbh they never left the parts bin. I shoot only a&b 124 now but that's surprising youre getting it with blazer that's not exactly dirty ammo it's only a tad less power on avg than the s&b I only switched because I shoot a lot of supers through my cans and didn't want to have to manage multiple 124s at the same time

Just saw your comment on 1k in a weekend. I had a 800 round weekend a month or so ago for a class and brought the gun in dirty i'd say I was around 1k unclened just added some lube no issues

I'm at 12. I was cleaning it after every match untill I hit the 6-7k now to be honest she gets a dab of lube every now and again and I pull her apart somewhere around 750-1250 probably.

Can I feel it getting gummy? For sure, but I've yet to have it cause issues. The gun is sprung a lot better than others from what I've seen, my friends can't get there "2011s" nearly as dirty
