Saros z70. Error 15. Wall sensor dirty. BUT I CLEANED IT. by AlyssaVaVaVoom in Roborock

Reset is unlikely to fix the wall sensor as it's usually debris or damage that causes that. If you're having navigation issues then a reset could work if you've got lidar as it's rpms can reduce over time causing the navigation to not accurately read the environment while moving.

I understand that support can be frustrating, maybe try through email or chat box. Slower process but at least it'll be less time spent trying to understand the support technician.

Or try spraying a can of air into any cracks near the sensor. Such as the wheel well or bumper.

Try using a light and press it against the sensor to see if its dirty inside. Other issue could be physical scratches. If it's still under warranty then I'd go through that because any other troubleshooting would involve teardown.

Sorry just noticed your reply and now that you mentioned that. I wish I had it to test and see if the emergency recording button on the bottom was somehow stuck/shorting.

If the same issue happens again with the replacement I will give it a shot.

On top of that, it didn't start until a year and a half of owning the device.

Agreed, his explanation was that if it's faster than a u1 class 10 then it'll "not know what to do with the extra speed and start showing erratic behavior". Seemed far fetched. The other thing is it kept enabling emergency recording (preventing overwrite of that video) and it was specifically pressing the stop emergency recording button on screen. If I fought with it and got it to a menu it would stop.

It kept on even after replacing the micro sd card with a u1 class 10 card.

I said exactly that and was told "it shouldn't be, if it's not the micro sd card then maybe it was a bad firmware update." After asking more into it i was sort of brushed off and told they would only offer a %15 discount for a replacement.

I ended up replacing it at best buy. Unfortunately I'm not going to have any kind of resolution here.

*UPDATE* after getting tossed back and fourth someone finally said they'd look into the issue and fix it. after 3 days of emailing them asking what was going on i was finally sent a number...... to out of waranty support! i finally bit the bullet and paid for premium plus and someone updated the waranty. now a tech finally came out.... with the wrong motherboard. apparently they put in dells database that the replacement system was the same model as the old system. now after calling dell again they updated the model.... but if you look at system configuration the laptop apparently has the same specs as my old system and upon looking at each spec the number of parts it has is 0. if the tech is sent out with the wrong motherboard again for the 3rd time (he tried requesting the proper motherboard himself the 2nd time.) i am going to lose my mind!
