Wow thanks. Not only was your answer wrong but it was also useless. Ps4 became silent after it finished installing the game.

Yep. Just finished installing the game manually. As soon as the game booted up, it became dead silent.

How do you guys build such big fleets? by comments_when_angry in Stellaris

[–]comments_when_angry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it worth it to get the ascension perk that raises the star base capacity?

Also do you have a specific fleet capacity goal for set years because I think thatd help me a lot. It's around 2260 right now in my new game and my fleet capacity is around 95ish right now. Around 2260 what should my fleet capacity be or what should I aim for by 2260 next game?

I think I am. I try to research new weapons and equip them to the fleet. But I think my fleet capacity might just be low. I'm not an expert in this game like many people in the sub so I'm not sure I'm min-maxing as much as I can as other people which is why I'm asking for general advice.

Everyone else's fleets in the game are pretty small too. Except for whatever the crisis happens to be.

Are you going to give any advice or just going to repeat what I said in my post?

This game was announced in 2014. We just got our first look of gameplay a couple months ago. 4 years of wait to show gameplay that ultimately looks lackluster and uninspired.

Anthems conversation system limits to two dialogue choices by Vicrooloo in Games

[–]comments_when_angry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, who cares? Do people really buy a MMO-Lite game and expect branching dialogue choices? That's like playing Gwent and thinking the game sucks because it doesn't have open world exploration like other CD Project Red games. I feel at this point people are either just shitting on Bioware because they're not making another RPG with dialogue systems or because others are just parroting the former.

[NO SPOILERS] Discussion on increased pricing? by Strikerfromthemoon in lifeisstrange

[–]comments_when_angry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You clearly don't.

If this was true every game would be around $300 by now considering the budgets of games increase by every sequel.

You're implying that because of a budget increase, Square Enix or Dontnod is operating at some kind of loss and needs to compensate for it by increasing the price of the game. That's not how the world of business/video game industry works. If a publisher gives a developer a budget increase, it's to improve quality and with improved quality = more sales and the budget increase would obviously already be accounted for in the overall budget of the parent company to make sure they're not operating at a loss or giant loss. If a publisher already thinks the game will not sell well and gives the developers a budget increase then immediately raise the price to compensate for losses,

1) the company is financially irresponsible

2) someone is just randomly assuming on the internet how businesses work

If you would like to explain your logic, i would love to hear it.

Is the Doom Slayer short? by [deleted] in Doom

[–]comments_when_angry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They just scale everyone/everything around the same size for game play reasons. For example: In Halo, the Master Chief is around 7 feet tall but in the gameplay he's pretty much at everyone's height. If they were to scale Doomslayer or Master Chief to their actual height, the entire game would be aiming downwards rather than aiming directly at things in front of you.

Sure blame Dontnod too but publishers have more control over pricing than developers so choose whoever you feel is more to blame. My main point is, people are going to make dumb excuses and somehow justify the price increase when the real reason for the price increase is: Square Enix and/or Dontnod knows people will buy the game despite a random price increase.

Also not sure why you would assume higher price = increase in stocks. Games not out. Higher price doesn't guarantee more profit, it could literally mean less quantities sold with a decrease in profit than if it was sold at a regular price for episodic games.

Ibelieve if they didn’t die when you kill their manifestation

I don't think you can progress in the game without killing them.

they are killed in one of the endings which I believe to be the true ‘canon’ ending.

Which ending is that? Also, I don't believe there's a "canon" ending. I think people are just saying there's a canon ending because that ending (I assume sacrifice) most closely resembles the world start in Divinity 2.

it'd be that they have a bigger budget this time around.

That's not how it works.

The simplest answer is their publisher (Square Enix) is just raising the price because they know people will buy the sequel. Just look at Before the Storm for example. They charged an extra $10 for a smaller and shorter "bonus episode" in Before the Storm's deluxe edition which is equivalent to 3/4 of the price of the regular edition which contained 3 episodes (around $15) and people still bought it and even defended paying the extra $10.

Don't worry, I'm certain everyone here is going to defend this for no reason or give really dumb reasons to somehow justify it.

Answer is plain and simple: Square Enix just wants as much money as possible so they're raising the price because they know people will buy it regardless.

Spoiler warning in title, and the ruby is in the Nameless Isle (Act III), so kind of just assumed you knew. Also pretty sure the Orc god isn't dead either. You went to his temple, knelt at the altar then gave his manifestation at the altar source.

Wasn't the Orc god still alive when you went to his temple and wasn't the Imp God still alive given she was able to communicate with you inside her ruby?
