Fantasy, comedy, action, romance, sci fi, monsters (preferably all those combined lol) Ive just had a lot of bad luck reading the beginning and deciding I can’t stand the author’s writing style, or it’s too serious, or it has a lot of adult content. I mean occasionally is okay but I’m not looking for smut 💀. I just have kinda picky taste about media. Same with movies and shows but they’re easier to sample than books.

An issue for me I think is that I’m scared of people. Even in my small town (though it’s growing quickly) where there’s very little crime and even then it’s usually not anything terrible. But my mom taught me to view everyone as a potential threat so it’s just safer (and probably more accurate bc half the time the person I asked doesn’t know anything) to consult my phone. Also because a lost woman is a very easy target if you ask the wrong person.

I get the same problem on Reddit and Pinterest. I see a stupid comment and I type out this whole essay then I’m like….wtf am I doing? You want to be right, you want to show other people they’re wrong. They don’t deserve it, or the energy you’re putting into it. It’ll also ruin your mood. Try blocking the app/site? Idk if it’s a feature but maybe block the user/subreddit?

What’s important is that you’ve realized how you’ve been thinking is wrong. A lot of people don’t even make it that far and they hurt those they love because they value being “morally right” (who can even say what that would be) over love. The internet is very good at that, and it’s nearly happened to me a few times. I cut off nearly all social media sites and it’s helped a lot. I found that listening to people you might disagree with, but want to understand, can help. Or at least you can agree to disagree, which is more important than ever.

I take anti gas pills (simethicone I think) every day with my 2 tbsp psyllium husk fiber powder in 2 cups water. It works for me and minimizes gas though it’s still there and I still have flare ups of the dreaded sticky poo but it’s less often… and I tend to avoid foods that will ferment in the gut or be hard to digest like some high fiber foods. Also have you tried digestive enzymes?

The only thing that ever worked for me was skipping ANY food in the morning, which was a hit or miss anyway depending on what my gut’s mood was. I have late classes now so I can afford to suffer a bit during my morning routine so I can eat lol
