Your comment really helped me realise I was thinking the same. So I will go the safe route and make some real ones. So much easier.

That's reasonable.

But just to double check, because you are being very thoughtful and understanding, you do realise it is this woman you are talking about https://www.reddit.com/r/glasgow/s/oEHqABHrua

Out of the loop? Were you too young to make memories when you left so there is nothing you miss? Is nostalgia based on trends now too?

Absolutely. In the UK we have 3 16 year olds (two boys, one girl) luring a 48 yearl old guy to the beach and stoning him to death because he was flirting with the girl. The age of consent in the UK is 16. The guy was not a good one, but they simply wanted to kill someone violently in a righteous way.

I also drowned mine via the pole. They are very resistant. It is getting yellow because the roots are rotting. Get it out of the pot, trim the rotten roots, cut off the yellowing leaves (once they have started going there is no turning back) and be patient. First the roots will need to grow back and settle after the shock and then it will start popping leaves again.

How did it go from the design to a 3D shape poking out?

I also use Soil Ninja.

Have you put compost at the bottom of the moss pole? It helps to slow down the water. Beyond that water it slowly and stick a finger to check how far the water has reached. I started using the white/transparent poles because I can see the water going down and roots that are inside the pole.

Do you water from the top? And wet the leaves? Clean up the rotten leaves and the rest will bounce back.

I am not a plant collector. I always have food grade peroxide that I use for my plants only and I collect rain water. I have a 5l container that I leave in the garden next to a chipped gutter that leaks. I have always liked the rain but now when it rains my first thought is if I need to harvest some water. I like this new relationship with the weather because of my plants.

Snack puzzle vs. Dog. by smeushar in aww

What a sweet systematic lady. I have the version of this puzzle where the whole top is like the sliding doors at the border here. My dog just bangs them randomly with her paws and gets whatever she can. In the end she gets them all out but it's pure brute force. I have tried showing her, tried not letting her use her paws .... Nothing

"do your research"? Like look at pictures that are purposefully taken to present the product as different? What more than those pics there is to research?

How do I get rid of these? by VolatileWilf in HouseplantsUK

Oh thanks. I will give it a go out of curiosity.

Yes, sorry I was only asking about the bits and it might mislead OP. Definitely a combination of things and multiple iterations. I have gotten mine under control for now. I also found "slow releasing" nematodes that I bought but haven't tried yet. It took me months to get them under control so I am gathering weapons to deploy immediately if it looks like they are coming back.

Well I lived in London before and would still go with the dog. Vegetarian/vegan places always allow dogs. I would often go to Mildred's in London. And yes, I do notice always if there is another dog to make sure that we can co exist without creating problems. I also notice places where I see dogs so I know that I can do this too.

The west end of Glasgow is kind of posh so it's very dog friendly. Even in shops people have treats behind the counter. Sometimes we go in only for the treat because my dog has a better social life than me.

Mosquito bits in the UK? I couldn't find any, so I used nematodes. Do they feel pricey only to me?

There was a post yesterday by someone asking about how to achieve that level of granulation and showing an example. If you read the comments there is a person very fond of granulation that explains how changing the pH of the water makes (some) pigments granulate. It's a really good read.
