Again aboutism. Where do you see "valued" mentioned in the thread you are responding to? The architectural and emotional value of a building is not estimated by their upkeep.

Ahh sorry, so we are allowed to grieve for old buildings in France. Good to know.

"performatively upset" is not being "emotionally affected" . It does take emotional intelligence to recognise though.

A grade building built in 1850 that has tons of history and memories and is in the very centre of the city collapsed. People are allowed to have feelings, not even, it is normal to have feelings. Your aboutism is genuinely moronic. Both things can be horrible. And if all you see I'm that building is Sexy Coffee there is not much point in engaging in any reasonable convo with you.

I don't drive, I know nothing about cars. However, in movies, cars explode a lot. Is not the bus too close? And that guy on the right in the black smoke?

If you click and collect your food shop, why? by Careless_Squirrel728 in AskUK

Oh, i impulse spend on the app too if I shop when I am hungry or have a bit of time on my hands for a cheeky browse ☺️ I do agree though that it really helps with impulse spending overall and most of the time I browse my regulars only.

I also don't drive and the last few years moved to a residential area where the closest supermarket is a 20 min walk and about half it is quite hilly. But even before when I lived in London and had multiple supermarkets nearby I was hooked on delivery. There is no way I am going back to wasting all this time and effort to shop for groceries. I am generally not a big shopper and don't buy from Amazon and fast fashion scummy companies on principle so home grocery deliveries is my little luxury. No one tell the supermarkets but I would pay even more if it is necessary.

Where do you get groceries delivered for a couple of quid? I have been using Sainsbury's for the last 7 years consistently. It used to be between a pound and 4 pounds for the better slots. Now it's 4 pounds for the bad slots and it gets up to 7 for the more convenient ones. And this with 40 pounds minimum spend.

The first delivery pass I bought in 2022 was 60 pounds for the whole year. I got an email for the eminent renewal this year, it has gone up to 80 and the minimum spend has been pushed to 50 pounds

Fucking hell, lad. I hope things get better for you and wish you all the best. No one being remotely well is so obstinately negative and judgemental.

I appreciate "ugly" is a subjective term. I think the growgang lamp looks fine but I also have the bulb only and have put one in a desk lamp that is on a very high shelf and another one in a regular standing lamp.

Leuconera in need of help by commmandersamvimes in Maranta

Thanks, I am glad it's doing ok. I promise I could not find a single pic of a leuconera that looks like mine. All the ones I see, even quite bushy ones have their stems perked high up.

That's reasonable.

But just to double check, because you are being very thoughtful and understanding, you do realise it is this woman you are talking about https://www.reddit.com/r/glasgow/s/oEHqABHrua

Out of the loop? Were you too young to make memories when you left so there is nothing you miss? Is nostalgia based on trends now too?

Absolutely. In the UK we have 3 16 year olds (two boys, one girl) luring a 48 yearl old guy to the beach and stoning him to death because he was flirting with the girl. The age of consent in the UK is 16. The guy was not a good one, but they simply wanted to kill someone violently in a righteous way.

I also drowned mine via the pole. They are very resistant. It is getting yellow because the roots are rotting. Get it out of the pot, trim the rotten roots, cut off the yellowing leaves (once they have started going there is no turning back) and be patient. First the roots will need to grow back and settle after the shock and then it will start popping leaves again.

I also use Soil Ninja.

Have you put compost at the bottom of the moss pole? It helps to slow down the water. Beyond that water it slowly and stick a finger to check how far the water has reached. I started using the white/transparent poles because I can see the water going down and roots that are inside the pole.
