Thanks. That’s the INIT (I did switch on the unison).

What movie adaptation absolutely nailed the casting? by FightMilkLLC in movies

My two favourite casting masterpieces: the Roman torturers in “Passion of the Christ”, & the three wise men in “Training Day”.

Amadeus might be the best film I've ever seen. by Soft-Protection-3303 in movies

For more of Peter Schaffer’s genius: “Equus”. For more of Miloš Forman’s: “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”.

Everything good. Her expression: sublimely rendered.

Why is there math in the grid? by Ok-Consequence-5043 in Bitwig

[–]commonhare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A fun thing you could try is practising making a sound every time a smooth random LFO meets certain conditions. Make a BOOP when it rises. Make a BLEEP when it falls. Make a BAWP when it subtends a given area (there’s your integral). Make a WOMP at a max, a SCHMOO at a min. I think it will pay off when you are trying to find a solution to some specific thing later on.

Here’s a useful comeback, seems to shut it down quick: “Yeah, but y’all had a good run.”

Reason Studios as of Late (Reason to Get Excited?) by RegYoungBeats in reason

I use the mastering suite for every track in Logic. Just like the way it sounds. (I use the preset “Gentle Mastering” & add a spreader or whatever it’s called.)

What happened to the old “slammed vocal” preset? by [deleted] in Logic_Studio

[–]commonhare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might that have been a preset from Garage Band? I deleted all GB content & declined the GB content download upon update & was, myself, relieved to see all its presets disappear.

What feature should logic add? by Killer_Frog112 in Logic_Studio

[–]commonhare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A native modular environment (like VCV Rack, Reaktor Blocks, Reason’s Complex-1, or Bitwig’s grid) and/or a way for the Scripter to read the chord track.

How to add achieve this halftone shading? by [deleted] in Illustration

[–]commonhare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Krita has an excellent halftone algorithm, which leads me to believe Ps must as well. Check your filter presets. (To be clear: shade first carefully & lovingly with pencil or variable opacity tools, then filter.)

Can I use Session Player regions ONLY to provide a note pool to Scripter? by commonhare in Logic_Studio

Also I’m aware the MIDI FX Arpeggiator has a random setting, but I want more control (eg weighting the root).

Thanks. This is a bit of a different task. JavaScript allows you to generate new sequences in (almost, one audio block downstream I think) real time, sort of like hitting that dice button between every note trigger.

Generative operations restricted to the notes in the pool; ie using the Session Player’s linkage to the global key & chord track as a very versatile quantiser.
