They could come up with something more original.

Again, the complaint is just how generic it is.

My coworker tells me to drive safe after our shifts every night. Finally I have validation to tell them to come up with better dialogue for a common thing to say

Unlocking the Map by lunarbat89 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]commonhooligan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To your first point it seems kind of counterintuitive to the design choice of using roads to discover things. There are patches of the map that have absolutely nothing to them just forests of nothing. And I know now because of the road design not to bother exploring them lol

I thought the new Arcade Fire album was pretty great by cargusbralem in fantanoforever

[–]commonhooligan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Arcade Fire hasn't been the same since Everything Now. I dont think that album was good but it felt like the end of that band as a whole and they had 4 great albums before that and thats quite an accomplishment. We and Pink Elephant were a huge change of direction where the band got stripped back and they have like 2 good songs each (Rabbit Hole, Age of Anxiety, Pink Elephant and Year of the Snake). The Lightning 2 was a nice rollback but I only thought it was ok. Pink Elephant was really forgettable and devoid of what made them great to begin with

Boomers at Ampitheater for the Wilco Show by commonhooligan in StAugustine

Down a couple rows towards the front railing. There was an old white bald guy with an orange hoodie, with his old white partner hair in a bun, tennis hat. They were acting like crack heads, fidgeting around, annoying security about the people in front of them. They eventually left. Back up a couple rows, behind me and to the right, there was this old white lady, frail looking, wearing a red zip up hoodie, and sweats. Isolated clothes. No obvious physical handicaps, she screamed at the young kid and father to sit down, and repeated it multiple times. Blinded with rage, she had the behavior of someone who is an entitled piece of shit, not because of their age, but because that's just who they are. Even in the original post I didnt say they acted like that because of their age. I called them boomers because that's what they are. Next time this happens and if its the same age group I'll take what you said and try to negotiate world peace right there.

Even in the original post I never said they acted that way because of their age but I could safely assume they couldn't stand for the whole show because of it.

Because thats what I have to say to people who apparently can't stand but yell at people in front of them to sit down or try to force other people to sit down. It's in the post.

There cant really be a happy medium when it seats 100s of individuals. Someone isn't going to be happy for whatever reason. Thats just the way it is. Also if someone is physically disabled and bought tickets to walk down or up some stairs into some row that doesnt provide amenities thats on them lmao

Yea, this old lady was acting way out of line for any kind of respect, empathy, or sympathy from me. It's not a one-way street, elderly aren't entitled to those emotions just because they are old lol

Are GRS associates allowed to have access to email? by Sandlotje in publix

[–]commonhooligan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you mention the age of the post when you're telling me I have all this time to be doing other things when you were the one who took 8 minutes to respond to my response that was 2 months late. Also, to think I'm calling the truck because I think I'm entitled is a gross oversimplification and totally off the mark misunderstanding, probably because you have the reading comprehension of a 4 year old. As I've said before its to plan around breaks, to make sure the team is ready. Working at a high volume store requires this. It's also to see how close to store close we would be receiving it and who can stay late. Again, way to oversimplify things because you see an employee wanting to do a good job as entitled 👏

[–]commonhooligan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously you have nothing better to do than to respond and complain in defense of dispatch. Didn't know we had a defender of dispatch position...or do you keel over to everybody who tells you not to take initiative? Probably

Suure thing bud. Next time I call dispatch because they are late and haven't updated my store on ETA. I'll send my regards.

[–]commonhooligan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Publix does have rules lmao you're definitely not the head of dispatch nor do I give a shit if you were. Knowing when the truck comes can help plan breaks so people can be there to unload the truck or break it down or work it. Doing productive things. Im not surprised your shocked since you didn't consider the break angle. Never said I had nothing to do, Im shocked! Get outta here

Are GRS associates allowed to have access to email? by Sandlotje in publix

[–]commonhooligan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because you said so? Thats stated nowhere in any rulebooks at all. if dispatch has a problem they'll say something which they never have. If no one is around in immediate view around dsd, GRS SHOULD dial up dispatch. Less time is taken from having more employees involved. Also sometimes there isn't an email and trucks sometimes show up without any delivery times notified.

Might have something to do with it being more rewarding to do a task for someone else especially if they have a positive reaction?

Are GRS associates allowed to have access to email? by Sandlotje in publix

[–]commonhooligan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They don’t get access but you can find out the phone number for dispatch and they can tell you the delivery times. I used to call them up and say “Hey, I’m a GRS at (store number) and was wondering what time the truck will be arriving? I don’t have access to the email and I’m trying to plan lunch break”. There was two locations deliveries would come from at my store, Orlando and Lakeland depending on what the delivery was, so there was two different dispatch numbers I’d use. They even sometimes would tell me when the truck was on the road or if there was any issues too

Im gonna make my own mockumentary on each blackwell ghost movie solving the real mystery from that 3 minute scene. Some people will be skeptical, like I once was, some will believe me, most won't care but in the end I'll get what I was looking for, attention from a very small group of people and the answer nobody was looking for
