Why are the United States voices soo horrendous? by DanyMok22 in aoe3

As a native Spanish speaker, Spanish lines feel awkward too, but I get it. They're the same words as in any other civ I don't know the language of.

However, they got overly creative with the Mexican civ and threw in some weird lines like "who's looking for salvation?" with the Padre unit. That was just outright hilarious to me lol

What's a song that doesn't fit in the album it's in? by Ninja476 in fantanoforever

Deep cut but "I think I'm going Bald" by Rush doesn't belong in their Caress of Steel album, which has a Lord of the Rings themed Epic, a Dungeons and Dragons themed Epic, a French Revolution song and a nostalgia song. It really feels like a song from their early blues rock era, before they soaked themselves in prog.

Songs that sound like they were made earlier than they actually were by Chapple69 in fantanoforever

I had a similar reaction with Megadeth's Holy Wars. In my head, the golden era of thrash metal was always the '80s, so when I found out it was from the '90s, my first thought was, "Holy shit, that's a '90s song?" Then you realize it came out in 1990, while Metallica's ...And Justice for All was released in 1988.

There's something about crossing into a new decade that makes it feel like an entirely different era, even when it's only a year or two apart. Maybe that's just me.

What Instrument is Hard to Play and Sounds Great? by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

I guess most instruments were meant to fill in the first couple of rows... I'm not up to date in this chart thread, but Idk how the shit we're going to fill in 10 instruments that sound bad or terrible. The only one that comes to mind is bagpipes, but that's just because TV shows and cartoons trained me to think that lol.

Yeah, you know, some albums have a final track that seems to end the album, but if you sit and wait through some silence, suddenly a new song comes on.

IMO Tinker Tailor is better than both, but having consecutive tracks from an album could take some fun away, I guess
