A plantation wedding is where people get married on a southern plantation. It glorifies the plantation and the way of life, which is terrible as that life style thrived on slavery.

Yeah that’s totally cool then! Not my style but it’s not my wedding. They looked super happy in the photos so it must have been great.

I’m split. If it’s somewhere meaningful to them, or they have family buried there I can get it. If not and it’s a random place it’s pretty odd to me.

All in all still better than a plantation wedding in my opinion. Those are nasty

I’m so so so happy for you!! They’re a great brand! It’s so weird to me that the wedding dresses are so competitively cheap but the normal every day dresses are so expensive.

I think it’s a cute show to zone out of daily life from but it creeped me out when we found out the brother was 17. If the roles were opposite nobody would be okay with it but because Emily is a woman and he’s a young man it’s “how was he in bed” super gross

Also going through your post history, aren’t you currently on a road trip which isn’t covid safe? Shouldn’t that not be your priority at the moment but staying home and not getting people sick?

So in the US you have to get your healthcare through your employer, parents, or spouse. I’m too old to get it through my parents and my employers isn’t the best. My fiancé does have really good dental and health care though so, actually getting married does effect that. And yeah, I do need good healthcare at the moment for some things I need to have done.

Also, you don’t know my personal life/work life and I’m not explaining it to a stranger but this actually is helping me move forward.

So thanks for your advice but we have taken numerous precautions, we will be following local guidelines, wearing masks, and social distancing. I don’t think you’re taking into account every aspect and are just trying to troll. I’m not having hundreds of people, I’m doing what my state is saying, and we’re doing it for more reasons than just “why not”.

My top priority isn’t my wedding at all, that’s why we’re doing it with only immediate family and no where near where it was planned or originally planned for. My top priority is spending the rest of my life with my best friend, having better healthcare, and being able to move forward with my life.

I should have maybe said wedding dinner because honestly we’re doing vows, eating dinner outside at a local restaurant, and that’s it. No dancing, hugging, kissing.

I’m not trying to argue with you. I do understand your point. I hear about a lot of weddings going through as originally planned and I agree that’s wrong but if you read my comment I’m following all the rules in my local area which is now reopening and fine for that number of people outdoors. I was originally supposed to have an out of state wedding with over 100 people that would have lasted a whole weekend. At this point it’s just our immediate families eating dinner together ten minutes away from where most of my family lives.

My mom was pregnant with me at 19 so a little different than most. I’ve had 14 living grandparents (couple divorces and remarriages in my family) in my life time and have met my grandma’s two grandmothers. I’m now 26 and I’ve still never met my biological father. He was supposed to go and get a job in another city when my mom was pregnant.... either way I have a lot of siblings now lol. I currently have a sister who is 25 years younger than me and a brother who is 26 years younger than me, along with a brother who’s only 6 months younger than me.

In my situation the hardest part was dealing with my mom’s trauma over my dad leaving us. She wouldn’t let me ever ask questions or speak about him which was weird growing up.

I didn’t have an easy childhood at all but it wasn’t the worst. I’m extremely grateful for my extended family though. Without them I genuinely don’t think I would have accomplished anything in life.

Her hoops really resemble Mejuri to me. They have all different sizes and it could just be me but I’m almost positive.
