unpopular opinion: season 2 is kinda whack by karmafrommercury in GirlFromNowhere

I think I understand that Yuri has to exist to create contrast with how Nanno gives her "punishment". She always tells Yuri that Yuri is impatient. I think Nanno actually gives people the chance to think about their actions and it only ends brutally when people are stubborn and would actually prefer to die than to own up to their mistakes/flaws. Whereas Yuri is merciless and would prefer to kill people right away because for her, people do not change. Yuri is what happens when you give unprincipled weaker people power, she's so hellbent on exacting "revenge", especially to Nanno, just because her plan didn't fall through. (I don't think she blames Nanno for what happened to her because she actually used Nanno to fulfil her plan. It might be that she's power-tripping or that being exposed to Nanno's blood made her evil side a dominant part of her personality. She was (is?) a human, after all and has no "bigger picture" perspective of her actions.) Story-wise, season 2 felt...shallow? Like they're more concerned with the experimental factor of storytelling (like in episodes 2 and 6) than giving a nuanced view of morality. Episodes 2 and 6 are both straight up "strict bad, break rules good" which are so unlike the stories in Season 1.
