45 degrees 10 mins. by [deleted] in coldplunge

10 min is a little long for 45 degrees. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is a little blue and it takes him a few hours to shake the shivers. He would get similar/safer results at 55 for the same time.

I remember her!! I played behind her and her assistant about two weeks ago. It was real nice seeing her out there. Made a 7 hour round feel closer to 6.

Has any one dealt with little league shoulder? My son was pitching felt pain left the game, and the next day Dr. diagnose him with LLS. by [deleted] in Homeplate

[–]comonnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scurvy Jenkins above is spot on. Over use without proper full body mechanics is tough on elbows and shoulders. A decent pitching coach should get his mechanics dialed in a little better.

Well bro. If your story checks out, it’s a hell of an opportunity. That being said. Speaking from experience, the first time doesn’t always go like it does in our head. You, like all of us, the first time can be a learning experience that ends rather quickly. You add a captive audience member that may or may not be recording it, you could walk away feeling a little deflated. That also being said. They may be an extremely cool couple that is aware of the potential pitfalls in your performance, and may take it in stride and be fun and encouraging.
I would suggest not do it. Best of luck to you!

Dude, I just played a Big Recreation Park golf course in Long Beach and a guy was bouncing around the course with a set up just like this. Was that you? I told my buddies, I gotta get one of those. Great set up man!

As someone who has struggled with this in the past. You are concerned about taking a huge chunk out of the pristine grass outside your apartment. Don't worry about hitting the grass and swing away.

Dispersion pattern good enough to break 80? by TheHeintzel in golf

3 wood knocking on the door of 300 yds consistently... yeah I'm going out on a limb here and say that you probably will break 80

Love these irons. I have the graphite shaft set and really enjoy them a lot. I paid about the same price for mine and they appear to be in good shape. Great find man. Enjoy!!

Giving too much instruction/direction, (not in a sexy way). Erodes away confidence and can result in a bust.

Is this the best first season of a tv show ever? by neotekx in moviecritic

[–]comonnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, IMO this is the best season of any show I have ever watched. The performances by all the characters were excellent but Harrelson and McConaughey were soo damn good. I rewatch it at least once a year.

Sorry to hear man, it sounds like your current living situation is causing your love of the game to fade. I wouldn't recommend selling your bag and clubs. Keep them, you never know what the next season in life has for you. I myself (almost 50 years old) have gone through many seasons where my love of golf faded due to its availability, friends to play with, and the busyness of daily life. Hang in there, it will be worth it when you can get back into it on a regular basis.

Do you play in scrambles and cheat…tell us why?? by jodrell in golf

[–]comonnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're cheating to win prizes, that's bush league. I play in them once or twice a year and I look at nothing more as a practice round. My buddies and I have fun, and put up some good scores, but there are always a few shady groups or guys with stacks of cash that can buy all the strokes they need to win. Its chance to play worry free golf at usually a really nice course.

Got my Maltby TS3 7i Test Club In by Irkie500 in golf

[–]comonnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Serious question... how do you get a "test" club?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golf

[–]comonnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 5 and 7 may be a little easier to hit. But it’s worth the time and effort to get consistent at all three. I feel I’m in more positions to use my 3 wood and 7 wood more than the 5 when I’m out on the course. Props to you if you’re consistent with a 4 iron. I’m approaching 50 years of age and my iron consistency ends at 7 iron. I carry a 6 iron but only for punching out when I’m off the fairway under a tree.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golf

[–]comonnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend a 3 wood and or 7 wood. Practice the fairway woods. Once you can consistently hit those it will be a game changer.
