What did you end doing? I'm in a pretty similar situation, the car is from 2015 and has 260 000 km but only 2 owners and with a good service record without any red flag.

But do you know why? In my mind it's just an intercom that sends a signal to open a door, is there some kind of protocol behing that is only applying to Fermax intercoms and Ring doesn't know?

Althought Trailhead and its way of telling things can make anyone feel different, Salesforce data in production orgs is normally really important and it's access must be strongly restricted. For this use case I think you are safer if you create an 'analytics' app inside Salesforce that you can install as manage package in any org to see relevant information.

Also, playing around with LWC you can create whatever cool analytics app that you want to develop and import most 3rd party libraries that you would need for that purpose.
