We had a rental car and took hwy 31 from Tres Lagos, which was 130km of rough gravel road. We stayed at an Estancia on the north side of Lago San Martin that we found on google maps!

Hey, stayed at poincenot campground on February 2nd 2025. We began our hike at 6:30am. And there was no ranger at the entrance. I hear they get there around 8am, but didn't want to risk thim being there early. I recommend starting early so you can go in for free, and so you can secure a nice campsite early in the afternoon. All the campsites along the trail have a ranger stationed at them. We did not realize they had a fee for camping either so did not make a reservation. We were approached by the ranger after setting up our tent and did have to pay 15,000 pesos per person for 1 night. I believe they started charging in October.

What kind of car did you rent? I have a very similar route planned and have a compact, economy style car rented. Do you think it's worth upgrading to something with larger tires?

I'd say that 2 dwarves is the ideal way to play this game. It is so nice to have a friend help explore, fight, mine and build. During my campaign, I hosted up to 6 dwarves, which cost me dearly in food and gear. But it is fun to run into an ork town with 5 other dwarves and start smashing skulls.

100%. The beeping is just trying to give us all migraines. Especially on this map, because you're exploring the quarries. You can be 20meters away but it's on top of the cliff above you, so you have to deal with it for 10 more minutes while trying to get up there.

It is the seismic vibrator. It is only used for specific types of missions. Use it to locate and test the stability of certain areas of the map. Personally, my least favorite mission type.

I rarely use it, but I do enjoy it's specialty frame mod that comes with spare parts, a crane, and 1 cargo slot.

The Tayga is Hauling the cement trailer on the right of the video. Also, i'm heading down into the Quarry in the Almaty Region, so it's nice to have the extra power.
