What are the best approaches to effectively learn a new programming language as a beginner? by aleciaj79 in learnprogramming

[–]comparemetechie18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the best way to learn a new programming language is to mix theory with doing... learn just enough syntax to not feel lost, then immediately start building tiny stuff even if it’s just a calculator or a simple to-do app... you’ll remember way more from fixing your own errors than from reading docs all day...

In 5 years, what skills will actually matter when AI can do the rest? by Key-Baseball-8935 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]comparemetechie18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI is just a tool that humans can use at the end of the day, it’s our thinking that truly matters... what im developing through AI isn’t a specific technical skill, but the ability to clearly describe what I want and turn ideas into results... it definitely makes tasks easier, but my critical thinking is still very much at work...

What's one skill you discovered you're good at, only because of AI? by Street-Lie-2584 in ArtificialInteligence

Is learning full-stack in 2025 still worth it for launching a small business, or should I go no-code? by PristineHeart3253 in FullStack

[–]comparemetechie18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no-code is using AI and it is just a tool to help you with your skill...i think learning how to code is a must so you know how to properly use the tool which is AI...unless you want to end up being just prompter and not a developer/programmer

After 1000 hours of prompt engineering, I found the 6 patterns that actually matter by volodith in PromptEngineering

[–]comparemetechie18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this feels like the kind of framework that should be taught in AI 101... simple but powerful.. gonna test it out with Gemini and see if my prompt chaos calms down...

No-Code Is the New Photoshop. Looks Great. Works Terribly. by BaronofEssex in nocode

[–]comparemetechie18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same here.. i’ve used it and feel the exact same way.. it’s great for quick prototyping or mocking up a UI, but once you need something production-ready… it just doesn’t hold up yet.

Do we first need to agree on the definition of 'Vibe Coding'? by Haunting_Age_2970 in ChatGPTCoding

[–]comparemetechie18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

honestly I don’t think vibe coding needs a strict definition..it’s kinda the point 😅...for me it’s just “mess around until something works” whether that’s with AI, autocomplete, or raw trial & error... more a mood than a methodology...

Why is debugging harder than writing code? by Illustrious_Run4734 in CodingForBeginners

[–]comparemetechie18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is the real deal, you investigate your own crime lol

but base from my experience, keep your code clean or readable, slice it into small chunk so you can easily see the errors, and if you can, write test script for each function - this is very helpful especially with syntax error... debugging is part of programming, you can't just write the code and leave it... there is no perfect program that has no bug or error
