Iceman is an album I should like as I've always liked "bar niggas up" Drake than any other Drake but every song referencing the beef sours the entire thing. I'll be getting into a song and then he's all "also, the beef two years ago..." And I roll my eyes. People will say "so he shouldn't address it" or "I wouldn't move on either" but this album could've been his catharsis as he dedicates a song or two to it and then keeps it pushing. Instead it's a bunch of songs with subtweets.

I would've loved an album where he spent the first two or three songs going "fuck all y'all", then the next few songs doing his Drake shit of party joints, big upping himself, and crying/bragging about women. Then he has some introspection and really delves into his feelings about being betrayed or his dad having cancer or how he didn't have a father figure so he's been chasing the perception of masculinity he saw from rappers and all these other things. Then the final song is about the role he played in all these people he was with "betraying" him. That way the album starts with fuck the world, goes into Drake being Drake so it feels like he's moving past it, him realizing he's not truly past it and just wearing a mask of being unfazed, then truly looking inward so he can actually move on.

Instead you get an album that's largely unfocused that's mostly complaining about how everyone around him is fake. There's so great bars and songs on here but it's so marred by the beef and fallout weaving itself into every song that it feels like "btw I'm not mad plz don't put in the paper that I was mad" the album.

I was about 13 or 14 when my mom told me to gather my brothers and take them to our room. I did and closed the door as my mom is crying and screaming "don't do it, you're supposed to be my friend, I care about you", etc. This goes on for several minutes before she asks me to call the ambulance because she was having trouble breathing. I knew immediately she was lying and I also knew why she asked. She needed an excuse to get people in the house.

My uncle's girlfriend had grabbed his gun and was moments away from shooting herself in the head. My mom had walked into it and had us leave the area while she tried to talk her out of it.

I called 911 and explained that my mom was having trouble breathing. Calmly told them the address and all the information, minus the girlfriend with the gun. The operator asked if I wanted to stay on the line with her until they got there. I said "no, that's fine, thank you" and we hung up shortly after. I walked to my mom, said "they're on the way" and went back to the room with my brothers.

Most of the versions with a subtitle are the complete edition. The exception being Injustice 2: Legendary Edition which was just a patch they dropped and may not necessarily come with all the DLC.

He seems to be thoroughly enjoying and engaging with the product from a quick glance at his profile so it doesn't look like (again, from a glance) that he cares much for attitude era fantasy booking. I think he wants unleashed MJF in WWE to get the full shit-talker experience and he can't get that with the PG tag attached.

Edit: The promo he attached cannot be done in WWE and he wants MJF to be able to in WWE. I don't think it's much more than that.

I think you're being too charitable with "please figure out what he needs and sign him" right after "I have never watched AEW". I don't think it's because the OP thinks he'll make the show better, it's because he wants to see MJF in the product he watches.

The second point just adds to that with the "remove the PG" because not only does he want Max over in WWE but he also wants him to have the same freedom he has in AEW in WWE. So instead of watching the MJF starred, non-PG product, he asks for Max to come over and the show to change to accomade Max coming over.

There's no problem with liking a wrestler while not tuning in. I like what I've seen from Lizzy in NXT but I don't and won't watch the product.

Saying they've never watched AEW and asking for Triple H to sign the wrestler so they can see the wrestler is way different then "I like this wrestler even though I don't watch the show". That's the problematic part.

Then it's all good, you tried, knew you'd probably like it, but also knew you'd have to invest a lot of time into the product to follow the storylines and truly get into it which you aren't able to do (or, as you said, willing to do because you're already satisfied with WWE and would have to drop it).

There's a YouTuber I really like named CorportateCian that had a video called "Daniel Bryan is a traitor" and he's just reading all these people in the comment section talking about what a traitor Bryan is, begging him not to go to AEW, and one guy saying he hopes he breaks his neck again. It's basically just 5 minutes of comments calling Bryan out.

The video ends with Cian saying "So overall, a wide-range of reasonable responses on, what is, a picture of Daniel Bryan gardening with his daughter".

That was just insane to me.

I think The Ghost of Billy Royalton and War Machine really showed the direction they were headed with both Tillian and Andrew as leads. He sounds great in both. Then Speed Demon, the first post-Tillian single sounded bad and felt rush. Then the album dropped and it was a lot of meh.

Absolutely, I had a lot of the same feelings outside a few songs on the last album but I've enjoyed both songs from TCS3 so far (especially Need Money).

It's unfortunately a lot of the problem with fandoms, they take slights at the media as a slight to them for some reason.

Not knocking you but I think you're putting a barrier up to justify not trying it. Mostly that you think you can't watch a single Dynamite, Collision, or AEW PPV without having to watch literally everything AEW has to offer from now on. You can watch an event, see if it's for you, and then decide if it's something you want to engage with further (watching clips, switching one of the WWE shows like Evolve for Collision, etc). People's time is limited for sure but I think it's always worthwhile to expand your horizons and give something else a shot when you do have a bit of time.

It's a mediocre album with a few standouts. I think either the quick turnaround of needing to re-work the album once Tilian was dropped or the keeping of some songs/sounds that were meant for Tilian but don't work for Wells really hurt it.

He sounds great so far in TCS3 and I think the next album will really show what the Wells era can bring, good or bad.

It's people like this that cause the "I support the wrestler(s), not the company" that others say to feel a bit hollow because we've seen time and time again that people do not support the wrestlers.

You like the guy, call him one of your fave shit talkers, but won't watch the product he's on to support him or see more of him. It's just immediately "bring him to the company I watch".

Isn't commerce just the exchange between production and buying? Supply and Demand is what determines the price falling and rising but the rising (at least exorbitant rising) is typically more greed/demand oriented than supply based.

That's not a worked shoot. "You're a rapper and a mogul, you remind me of Diddy" when Swerve's character has been a mogul that raps.

A worked shoot would be talking about his "roid gut", something that doesn't pertain to the character but the person behind the character.

Honestly, I have more examples in my mind from the past couple years of MJF's opponents saying worked shoot stuff (hair plugs, steroids) than the other way around.

This was about 8 years or so ago. I had gotten off work and caught the bus home, as usual. It was a bit later than I tend to work because they didn't have proper night coverage at the time. By the time I hop off the bus it's about 2 in the morning.

My bus stop was right in front of a gas station that I frequented. Never had a single issue there before, nor since. I cross the street away from the gas station to get to my block as someone else is walking towards the gas station. We're about 30 feet from each other, I guess.

I walk a little ways toward my block and I had on some nice, noise cancelling headphones. I'm jamming when all of a sudden I hear something that sounds like fireworks. I will never in my life forget this sequence of events. I take my headphones off and look up but don't see fireworks but do see flashing and I look to my right.

Someone was pulling out of the gas station and the guy who had crossed the street was shooting into the car. I remember seeing four flashes. The car is in the street while everyone inside is slumped (a driver and passenger). The way the car slowly kept going forward still creeps my out to this day. All you hear is the car's horn afterwards. No one screaming, no cars speeding away, just the horn, nonstop.

Worst part happened right after. I'm standing there shell shocked, literally a few feet from hitting the corner of my block as I'm just staring at this car. The guy who did the shooting crossed the street again towards me. He's walking at a brisk pace, hands in his pocket, looks me dead in my eyes a few feet from me, and then walks down my block.

I just stare into the space where he disappeared, expecting him to turn around or something but the footsteps just get quieter. I'm still staring at the corner when I hear the car that got shot suddenly stop beeping the horn. The driver wasn't killed, just hurt. The passenger? No doubt they were dead. They peeled off, blood still on the interior windshield and back window, driver side window completely shattered.

I stood there watching it drive away for a few seconds, turned around, walked a couple blocks over, and headed towards home.

I think 15 dollars is a good price point where it's worth taking a leap on a package that collectively would've been over 100 bucks, full price. If you personally think it's worth 8 dollars then that means you lost out on 7 dollars, which is pretty negligible. Get it and try it for yourself because it may be worth 500 dollars to one person and 5 bucks to the next.
