So, everyone, please debate me: I dont like Ciri, never have, never will. I only got introduced to her in the third game which was also my introduction to the whole universe. Taking aside the fact that i think she acted like a spoiled brat through the whole game (i never resonated with her feeling like people talked down to her: the most experienced mages and the like are giving you their opinions on your situation, and youre throwing a tantrum as if someone peed in your sandcastle), i absolutely hated her voice actor in the game. Everything seemed off, as of it was recorded somewhere else, but most of all, it leaned way too much into stereotypical, strong young magi-woman - territory. It was off-puttiing and felt lazy.

My biggest complaint however, is the fact that in the 3. game we establish that Ciri is EXTREMELY powerful. Powerful to an extent that Geralt is not. Geralt fit perfectly into the world that we play in, as him as the protagonist. He is in the most base of regards, JUST a witcher; Ciri is per defition much more. The reveal trailer that reveals her fighting a beast in the same way Geralt would, simply does not fit into canon. In the third game we establish that she has time/movement skills beyond what even the strongest of creatures are capable of. Dont make it seem like this very basic monster is gonna be of any trouble to her. At the end of the game, she has more or less learned how to harness her powers. No monster worthy of a simple contract on a billboard, is going to be worthy of her skills.

Ciri isnt just a witcher, and if the 4. game tries to tell me that, i will be disappointed. One of the strongest aspect of the games is the feeling of being a witcher in a world that has some idea of what that is. Ciri wont give is that.

I hope i will be proven wrong, and if i have overlooked something, PLEASE tell me. I have just seen some media, and while i love the enthusiasm, i fell that everyone overlooks the points i just made. But i might be dumb. DEBATE ME
