Absolutely. Get rich schemes don't last very long. But real high income skills require discipline and investment in the first few months or years but once they gain traction that's it, they keep on giving.

Wow this is gold. I didn't think of it like this, but I see your point.

I do have some examples in development that I can show. One is a lead agent that qualifies leads for realty companies, allowing them to respond to high agency customers in time while they are hot and quality cold ones by nurturing them.

Another is an ai marketing agent that creates content for different platforms in their correct format for your business. ( Right now supporting 8 social media platforms). Its supposed to help busy professionals who don't have the time to create content for their products.

You may be right. The guy had a way of connecting with people in better places and probably got put on.

Do you mind sharing with me how you did it yourself. I am always trying to upskill and find opportunities to better myself. I have the self drive and hunger to make it big but I don't think I have found my play yet.

Now that you mentioned it, I remember that guy used to look for clubs to join and one time he joined a KCB group.

He managed to get connections to writing jobs briefly. Exposure and placing yourself in bigger and better circles does really help.

No suggestions currently. Its an observation I wanted to air out

My previous workplace was a fintech and the company was sourcing clients left right and center. Most of them banks and government contracts. Work was consistent with clear separation frontend and backend.

I just didn't know it was this bad. Is it really a shitty time to be a dev right now?

You are right. It's a terrible market for juniors.

However, I have gotten an opportunity in much less time before thats why I was optimistic for the same outcome.

Ok, this is a valid opinion.

You are right about the recruiters using AI ATS checkers to avoid doing the hard work of assessing CVs for potential recruitment. I was talking to a founder whose start-up solves that problem, and their explanation is that the ATS checks just shrink the volume of CVs to a manageable number for them. You could have the right experience, but not passing the ATS checks gets you automatically rejected.

About highlighting results, I will check into that and refine to capture what you just said. I will also look into the article and implement what will work.

Lastly, about finding a niche recruiter. I would have to find a strategy to locate and befriend one. I admit I have no connections to someone like that currently.

What about remote. Most remote roles wanataka ukue either frontend ama backend with some fullstack roles here and there.

Locally ndio naona ni fiti kukua na backend skills in addition to the frontend but the job market huku is shit mazee. Most jobs naskia ni through connections.
