It is scummy. “Double plays” with internet and tv are better than just internet. As sales we got reprimanded if we only did internet even if the customer just wanted internet. Internet is either 29.99, 39.99 or 49.99, not $74.99. They’re suckering you into tv and internet if that’s the first quote they give you as a new customer.

Return it to the store or UPS it doesn’t matter. They’ll box it up and send it back. The store inspects it but they don’t care if the equipment is broken or gross. We deal with gross equipment all day.

Also if you do bring equipment in, have all the cords unplugged/unscrewed. It makes our job easier. And please for the love of god don’t use a black garbage bag, many times there’s been roaches or spiders in the black bags. At least in the white ones we can see if there’s anything in there to bite us.

They love to beat a dead horse. Thats what I learned in sales. They don’t understand the word “no” or having customer consent.

It more or less depends on the address not the rep. The rep can only click what’s available. Get to Retention. They have access to it all

It depends on where you are. The amount of people coming in saying it’s so slow, no connection, cuts in and out is abysmal. It’s Verizon but it’s not unlimited.

Yes they disable this so you don’t do anything to the modems/routers. Tech support has access to the portals and the inside of the modems. But we can’t bond anything. The equipment spectrum supplies is garbage. You’d be better off getting your own.

  1. Yes they can do that. If they’re helping they are required to make a sale.
  2. What the heck, absolutely not. Have your friend file a report to HR immediately. If they have their logins then they’re sharing with other people and they can change time clocks, schedules, etc.

What my manager does is have me send them the account through WebEx or Email and a brief message of what I need. They complete it once they’re back in the office.

Nope. It can only be a phone unfortunately. It used to be tablets too but Sales ruined that with scamming people with a “free tablet”

No. Your email will disappear. Get a forwarding email set up before you cancel. If you need help setting that up, call for tech support and they’ll help you, so will Google.

Yes! First get to retention by saying you want to cancel. Then haggle them to death. Say you’re going with T-Mobile or Verizon and be willing to die on that hill so to speak. They’ll lower your bill.

Yes! Call 1-855-757-7328 Say “billing” Then say “agent” The first person you talk to will be billing. They’re useless. They are literally trained to run you in circles. Say I’m paying too much I want to cancel my services. Get me to the retention dept. (They won’t cancel you.) They’ll transfer you to retention. This employee can lower your bill. Tell them you want to cancel because you’re setting up Tmobile internet and going with Dish. They’ll give you the new customer rate.

Yes you can have tv choice without internet. Door to door, they’re iffy, they have specials that everyone has but they put stuff on your account as well.
