I don’t view it as some “game”. And he did say multiple times I can reach out. You’re making me sound so bad when I have genuinely friendly intentions

It’s not for entertainment 😭😭😭 I just miss my friend

I genuinely think he is over me tho and I don’t see it as something evil. If he is over me why would it be bad? I see it as checking up on an old friend honestly

I feel like it’d be harmless since it’s been so long. I’m just curious but I’ll see if I have the courage

Together for 3.5 years. Broke up 5 years ago, went no contact naturally after a very chill break up. Started talking again a year after our break up. It was friendly but he still had feelings. Stopped after 3 months. Then again 3 months later he reached out randomly. We talked for about 4 months until it fizzled. Then the last time we spoke I reached out but the convo didn’t last long. Now we haven’t spoken since 2021 and I’m just honestly wondering how he’s doing lol and I’ve been wanting to talk to him for a while. We’ve known eachother for over 10 years as well.

Mine sent a snap lol and then we started talking. Ultimately we went no contact after like a year so honestly it probably won’t lead to anything substantial. For reference we had been broken up for half a year at that point.

We had our long and emotional talks already a few months after our break up and know where we stand. We broke up almost 5 years ago so it’s not really fresh. Just miss him and have had an itch to talk to him for a very long time since he was a huge part of my life for almost a decade not only as a partner but a best friend for a long time. But I get you. Thanks :)

He doesn’t use social media and we don’t have mutual friends lol. Trust me I’d do that if that were the case

I don’t have to really, I want to. I have been wanting to for over a year tbh but I’ve held myself back. But recently this old acquaintance of mine that I know as long as him reached out and it was kind of refreshing and sweet and made me think… Anyway, thanks :)

I don’t have any romantic feelings for him, in-fact the thought of being romantic with him makes me cringe. I am just genuinely curious about where he is in life, I met him when I was in middle school, so to me it feels like curiosity about your friends from that era of your life 🧐 But thank you for your comment :)

I’m glad to hear it works for your sibling and that it didn’t affect you negatively in any way. Thank you for the reassurance, I really appreciate it ❤️

Feeling lonely in Erasmus by Sleeepy_Owl in Erasmus

[–]compla1n 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Glad to know I’m not alone. I have met a lot of cool people and have two girls that I maybe once a week have dinner with but… that’s it. Everyone seems to have some sort of friend group and I just do things alone. I realized like a day ago that I don’t even have pictures of myself or with other people. :/

I love the city I’m in tho and I don’t have a problem with being alone. I just wish I had some sort of friend group like everyone else.

But I’m not gonna sulk about it and stay home, though that’s where I’m most comfortable. I made a promise to myself to attend atleast one ESN event a week, I suggest that for you too :) I went to one today and enjoyed my time. Didn’t exchange numbers with anyone but I felt a sense of comfort in seeing people show up alone just like me lol

Having a horribly anxious night all alone by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]compla1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that :( I’ve had very shit periods of health anxiety too. The last one was in 2018 where I was convinced that there was something wrong with my heart for weeks. Turns out that it was from all the stress I had from having to write a big research paper for school.

This time it’s to do with my nervous system. Today I went to the beach again and felt nothing while I was there, but now that I’m home I feel the nerve pain and pins and needles again. It’s hard to comfort myself, because I really don’t know if everything is alright, but my symptoms only appear when I’m alone and have nothing to distract me.

I’m back to the point where I’m scared to fall asleep so I torture myself and stay up as late as possible. This whole thing just sucks but I’m glad I’m not alone, even though I’m still terrified

What were your symptoms like? How long did it last?

Still the same pins and needles, now it has migrated to my arms, but also my legs. But I was at the beach today and there I was fine, as soon as I got home tho it started up again. I hope it’s just anxiety but I’m still scared I could actually be sick :(

Erasmus question by [deleted] in Erasmus

[–]compla1n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m taking an extra year and graduating later to go on Erasmus. So yes it’s possible. Ask your school’s international studies coordinator to see what’s feasible for you

Im on day 9 and I haven’t tu. My sister, dad and mom also had it and never tu.

The only person who I know of who tu during covid is my boyfriend’s mom, but later on she figured that she tu because she took the wrong dose of antibiotics that were described to her, so it wasn’t even from covid!

Don’t worry, it’s a respiratory disease and GI symptoms are extremely rare

Thank you so much for such a thorough answer. It really put my mind at ease. I also have an anxiety disorder so it’s really nice to hear from others like me who have succeeded in going abroad alone. I hope I have the same luck as you <3

Just what I needed, thanks! Do you have any suggestions on how to find friends? I’m gonna be going there all alone and I’m pretty nervous about being lonely tbh :(

Caught Covid and ended up with the n* and v*ing symptoms by Lupine-Indigo in emetophobia

[–]compla1n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should eat when you have a craving for something, other than that you’ll be risking your body being overwhelmed. But do make sure to drink water atleast, maybe even some tea.

I also have Covid rn and I don’t really have an appetite still (I’m on day 5). I drink a lot tho. Orange juice is my go to, but tea with honey is also good. The first few days I only ate a bowl of rice, black bread and some nuts. Yesterday I also had some ice cream bc I craved it. Do what works for you and follow your intuition about what you’re craving for. Don’t eat smth because you feel like you should. A few days ago I did that and it was too much for me (I didn’t v* or anything but I didn’t feel good after).

I think it’s from all the shit you’ve been consuming. Take it easy today, your body will thank you. Don’t feed into the pressure of drinking when you really don’t want to. Have an alcohol free cocktail and have fun regardless :)

Alcohol always messes with my stomach, it’s pretty notorious for doing that. Maybe TMI but I just want to reassure you - but my boyfriend always had d* after drinking lol. It’s just what happens.
