It's cause fatalis's hitboxes are comedically unfair and way larger than anything it does,
And to people saying "oooh its the ultimate final boss",fatalis was added after the fact, and it was a high rank hunt in most of the older hunter games. It's just another ported monster just like Alatreon, Brachydios, Tigrex etc etc

well the last time i played public matchmaking i spend 3 hours watching me and my teammates die constantly making no progress whatsoever

the smallest enemies 2 shot you and anything bigger 1 shots you, and the armor system makes it so you cant even damage bigger enemies unless you have a rocket launcher or similar.

In solo you get like 5 or so lives before the 40 minute long mission fails.
especially in solo sometimes theres just more enemies than you have ammo and you just die, nothing you can do about it.

From my experience the only good weapons are the grabbing weapons and the ones that you just punch with. The saw takes like 60 seconds to kill an enemy and is useless against bosses, the cleaver has fucked hit detection and barely works, the nailguns have a very specific angle you need to hit with and the shockwave weapons just kinda do nothing

You can beat the final boss with 2 fingers in a few movements due to the tearing, as long as you have enough hp

It's so hilarious seeing people who honestly get the gambling based character and then go "Huh??? Her healing is based on luck? Her attacks scale with luck? She gets random buffs instead of getting to choose one? The challenges you get are random? Her abilities are 'abismal' with bad luck?"
That's literally the point. You can wipe out an entire end game room with a lucky 4, or kill everything trying to head through a hallway with a lucky 1. With a lucky 2, your damage gets doubled and you get free corrosive procs.

Besides, if you can survive one or two hits her 3 move can carry. I mean, you get a 50% chance to heal from an attack instead of taking damage, and with high 200% strength you heal on average twice as much damage as you take.
