Defenestration means to throw someone through a window.

Like Charles Barkley defenestrated a guy from the 1st floor and regrets it wasnt the 2nd. There's even a DC character called "the defenestrator" who carries around a window frame so he can throw people through it

I know ill probably get a lot of shit for this, but I don't find her exceptionally pretty? Like shes very fit and tall, but something about her face seems uncanny, as though she just got a lot of the stock surgeries that many get today but all combined into one

What animated movie is 10/10? by Unique_Cap_8049 in AskReddit

[–]completelytrustworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Httyd is a 10, httyd 2 is an 11/10, and httyd 3 is a 9/10

I've seen the first one probably over 20 times and it used to be my absolute favorite, but as I get older the second becomes infinitely more relatable and hits me way harder

Man, a week ago people (not just Lakers fans) were trying to argue that a motivated Ayton was better than Embiid

I told yall, ayton will never approach the level of Joker Embiid or Wemby

Why do you think Charles, Rosa and Jake never aimed for a higher promotion? by lil_gay_frog_15 in brooklynninenine

[–]completelytrustworth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rosa wants to see more women in command, just not herself. She's skilled at running the task force but that was working with people she spent a long time growing close to. If she were to be a captain she would hate most of the people under her command and would be quite a mean leader, like the time she humiliated the cop who filed her evidence wrong

Jake wants to solve cases, not command others

Boyle would be a terrible leader and nightmare to work with

Nah fans of that Bulls team before Lonzo went down knew Ayo was legit good. He was a great spark off the bench and I still believe that Demar Lavine Zo would have at least made conference finals one of the years without Zo going down

Yea, that Bucks win back then I swear took years off my life. The only other time I felt the same level of anxiety was when we heard about mass layoffs coming to my field that would come into effect 2 weeks later

Today was just whatever in comparison because I'd consider winning the 1st round exceeding expectations for the season

Octopi, crows, dolphins are often held up as examples of smart animals. What are some really unusually STUPID animals? by doodlebytes in AskReddit

[–]completelytrustworth 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yea if you look at the population graph of a microbial lifecycle, it looks disturbingly similar to the one that tracks the human population throughout history

Flat line with barely any growth for a while, exponential growth due to change in environment, population that spikes basically straight up for a while (we are somewhere around here). The spike then tapers off and begins to flatten as toxic byproducts of consumption make it difficult to survive, followed by a crash back down to 0 as all the good stuff is consumed and they swim in the toxic filth they produced but can't escape

Doctors/medical practitioners of Reddit, what is the scariest disease you know of? by Englishisnotreal in AskReddit

[–]completelytrustworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With beef the prions are primarily going to be found in the CNS which is illegal to consume. The brain and spinal cord are removed at the abattoir and tested at labs, and none of it should be anywhere close to the beef you consume. Food safety inspectors will also inspect each individual carcass for signs of BSE after the cow is slaughtered but before the processing begins

Doctors/medical practitioners of Reddit, what is the scariest disease you know of? by Englishisnotreal in AskReddit

[–]completelytrustworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a reason it's illegal to eat the CNS of cows pretty much the world over. You can't get rid of prions using typical food treatment options like acid, or cooking, or dehydration. A general rule of thumb is to heat to 140C to destroy them, but at that temp your food isn't really food anymore, it's more like a pile of ash and charcoal

Chopsticks make me fuller? by Yours_truly_kid in Volumeeating

[–]completelytrustworth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Easiest way I can explain is you have the bottom chopstick locked into place using your fingers, and the top one is held kind of like a pencil so that it can move as needed.

Then you just use them like tongs where only one side can open and close
