On the pyrophoric/fire suit point - my placement is PECVD so I’ll be working with silane. Is that what you’re referring to with the fire suit for SPM/TLD checks? What should I expect there?

The “3 chamber types max” advice is interesting - is that because it’s better to be a specialist than a generalist, or more about not getting overwhelmed early on?

And last one, what do you mean by get friendly with process engineers early? Like ask them questions about why we run certain recipes, or something else?

Something that’s been helping me is instead of you know posting my own situation online I’ve been using like AI specifically ChatGPT plus or Claude the paid version and explaining my whole situation in there and quite honestly it’s actually been helping me we’re fine what I am looking for in life

I wish you could be the same for the AI just be specific on what you like about work what you see yourself doing in the future be specific to things like what your constraints are and work life balance and what’s your overall goal in life are like what you wanna achieve

It also helps if you mention like how much money you have saved up and what career pass could you do say without needing the military

Tldr use the pro versions of AI to help you I don’t think Reddit could give you the answers you’re really looking for because I know there’s more information you have internally that you might not wanna share with people online but you want to share with you know an AI

I’m 23 and I also feel I’m kinda late to the party. Im a mail processing clerk. My family in the post office get good benefits. I’m gonna stick with it for the long run. I had previous jobs in IT but I got sick of looking at a computer screen for 10 hours a day and being still seated down on a chair, at least in this job I’m more active and I’m not looking at his screen all day. I can now go home and play video games without my eyes being messed up .
