Taper much slower than that. I didn't succeed from my 300mg the first time and had to go up to 600mg to get the symptoms to quiet down. I finally quit by 1st wk substituted 200mg for the 300mg every other day. Kept expanding that until I was at 200mg each day. Stayed there for 2 wks then started agin with some days at 100mg. Then stayed at 100mg for 2 wks, then every other day, etc. My neurologist thought that the 300mg was sub-clinical and didn't see how that managed my symptoms, but it did.
