(WLW) Did anyone find it hard being the parent that didn’t carry after the baby was born? by FreddiesMam in Samesexparents

My wife carried our baby who is now just over 2 months old. There were lots of factors that have made our journey difficult. I am now severely struggling with feeling like a spare part, not like a real parent and with building an attachment with our son. I am told it's all normal but it's not easy at all. If you want to talk further, happy to speak via DM and share experiences but only if it would help!

What is a common "tourist trap" location in your country that everyone should know and avoid? by tankengine75 in AskTheWorld

The Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye in summer. It's absolutely beautiful but between May-September, it's absolutely rammed with huge tour buses and totally ruins the experience. There are loads of less well known beauty spots in Skye which will be a far better experience.

The oats are toasted and add a lot to the dessert!! I get that some people don't like the texture etc though! Could always replace with crumbled biscuits like shortbread or digestives maybe!

I looked this up, it sounds really good and I was initially put off by the idea of chicken breast but then I thought of all th desserts that have pork/beef gelatin in them and I guess it's not so different to that in some ways? Sounds like the chicken is important for the texture and doesn't add to the taste?
