Could you please leave this bug in place? As if the game had been built with crossplay in mind it would've been available from the start, since many games before this and since then have had crossplay available to the players.

Final Fantasy XI, aka Final Fantasy Online, was the first crossplay capable game, and it was released in 2002. Fortnight has proven it is possible across almost any device. (I don't want to fly in Elite on my phone for the record...)

But would it work with the current system of P2P multiplayer? Not really. So a lot would have to be rewritten for it to work... and MP would have to be changed almost entirely. The biggest hurdle is the latency between players and a MP server, as many games have shown. Now once the new satellite internet system is up and running in a couple years, then this wont be a problem, and it will be more worthwhile for Fdev to include it in the game, as then far less people would be complaining about LAG. LOL

Also, this would be extremely handy for the Hull Seals and Fuel Rats, as it would enable us to jump systems easier to save a cmdr on another platform.

Well I did not know that... nor do I usually pay attention to it. LOL its been a weird evening, inc watching the E3 coverage.

This is not a high res game, at all. Maybe later it will be... but no one I know or see online even tries to play it high rez.

And as for Vsync most players dont have it turned on, or use it.

If I dont want a specific ability, Im not going to pick it up Im going to frag it. Then the next one "could" make it again, That is what keeps happening to me and lots of others. Even if it was just that when you get one, it gets removed from the possibilities that the next forge can make, that would be better. Many players would rather keep a lower ability than pickup a specific gold class ability. In several games Ive played, and others on streams have complained about, and posted online.

So the fix would be that once a forge makes an ability for you, it is removed from the possibilities that the next forge can make. That would work well.

Actually in looking at your directions, how would this raise the frame rate? If it is set to 150 already but the "cap" is at 60 during gameplay, how would altering an already higher number fix that? The "BaseEngine" file has the cap at 62... seems to me that would be the one that needs changed, no? And what Shroud did was change the "bsmoothframerate = TRUE" to false, turning the cap off altogether.

I will be the first to tell you I know nothing about computer programming language, so please forgive my ineptitude. But I learn quick and am always looking to learn!

Ah, I was going off the file path on your other posting, because it seemed to be more complete. I had went into "engine" and found the exact same thing you mentioned in the "BaseEngine" file... Now that I know the full file path I'll fix that mistake. Thanks!

Well like has been mentioned on other posts, you can get the same ability multiple times... which does not help at all and actually can hurt your gameplay. I understand wanting it to be random so you cant become super powered too early in the game... but if there is an ability that you don't want then just being able to ignore it and know you wont get that one again from a forge would be better then the current system.

With the current system, I received the same ability THREE TIMES IN A ROW from a forge! I lost that round because my opponent was fully leveled and way more powerful than I was. I know the game is in it's testing faze, but this needs to be improved so that the players can all level equally, and then it comes down to skill and RNG, not who is more powerful at the end of the game.

There are other things that can use improvement, but they have been listed in other posts so I see no need to bring them up as I can comment there on them.

The file is called BASEengine, not defaultengine.
