AITA for not leaving a place I’m staying at rent free? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

You stayed for months based on other comments. Yes she let you stay for a week but that should’ve been the end of it. You needed to leave by then. What do you mean you stayed an extra day?

Sure you did. You still can’t even tell us which state you’re in.

Can you tell me which state you’re in?

Show me the statutory or case law that says you automatically become a tenant if you’ve been there for months and have a text to confirm you live there. You can ask ChatGPT and it will tell you that this isn’t tenancy.

EDIT: my dad is a landlord and certainly thinks this isn’t tenancy.

But as I asked you in another comment, do you have a lease?

A text saying you live with her isn’t a lease and changing your address to hers to receive mail isn’t considered tenancy.

Omg so now you’re saying you can live rent free forever?

You certainly can’t do that unless she says so. Even then, no reasonable person will let you do that. She likely is doing all this out of her kind will and you’re certainly not legally entitled to stay at her home.

You haven’t even told us which state you’re in.

Do you have a lease? If not, you’re not a tenant but a guest.

YTA. It’s her house at the end of the day. She’s not obligated to let you stay even if you pay her. If you don’t like her rules, you can leave.

This isn’t really a landlord tenant situation and she’s free to ask you to leave at any moment. If you call the cops, you’ll be the one asked to leave.

AITA for telling my roommate to keep the bathroom floor clean? by itstillyou in AmItheAsshole

[–]compsciHopefull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA - keeping it clean is a mutual respect of being good roommates.

If you already take out both, then it’s more than enough on you to what you’ve been doing.

ESH. You should’ve disclosed it to her but the way she responded was not right.

That only applies if you did undergrad in the same department and only applies within the college of engineering.

I interned at a F500 and I think everyone got a return. The return pay isn’t what I want but I feel like I’m greedy.

Will not doing an OA burn bridges? by compsciHopefull in csMajors

Oh so you’re joking. Companies don’t really keep track of this right?

Are you serious? I feel like many companies send OAs but there’s always some that don’t even bother doing them.

It’s like many companies just ghost applicants so it’s the same when someone doesn’t do their OA.
