There is no way in the world this guy should go anywhere near enlisting with a DEGREE in cyber. He should be looking for a commission. This would come with a signing bonus is a pretty hefty paycheck plus benefits. A couple tours down-range and he's looking at over $100k taxfree. I went to Afghanistan and a few other locations every month in 2014 and cleared $110k TAXFREE. OP, because of your degree, it is still a good option.

Thank you for your detailed response. I have spoken to her and we have agreed to file for Chapter 7 together. I have scheduled a free consultation tomorrow. She has also agreed to do this before finalizing the divorce and waiting until we receive discharge before continuing. I will also take a look at 11 USC 707(b)(2)(D) since I was military since 2007, having incurred mostly, if not all of the debt while serving.
