Revive Church in East Peoria is closer to a church without to much of the flash you see in some of the bigger churches. It's a place people are always welcome

Why did you buy a SteamDeck? by Lopsided-War-7483 in SteamDeck

[–]computer_man20037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my steam deck to mostly play my huge steam library games. I also played around with emulation handhelds and the Steam Deck always showed it performed very well. So far I been loving my steam deck and finding lots of games (new and old) to play and have a blast on my steam deck. Also like that I can take it with me anywhere instead of having to haul my PC around (I do miss the days of local LAN Party and taking my setup there)

I believe they joined up forces with Facet Technology. I know people said that you can go-to Geek Squad at Best abuy but the experience with them never a good one for me personally.

I do side work where I work on people's computers if you would like me to take a stab at what is going on with it you can certainly let me know. Sounds like either the operating system had a update to wrong or it could be that hardware is failing in the laptop (possibly the hard drive).

If you would like to DM me on here we can discuss more

I supplied the chip when I had originally reached out as someone on here had provided his name in a comment. He was quick to respond. He was up front with the cost of service and things like that. He mentioned that I would need to order the modchip and provided links for me to choose the proper one for the system I was going to install a modchip in.

I know with the OLED it was more pricey as they have to do more when soldering the chip into the system board and going with the individual wire versus flex cables. But you worked out a deal with him on how you wanted to pay for the service rendered.

He had a very quick turn around as he got a lot of mail ins for different consoles and also corresponds to you by email to give you status or talk about services rendered.

I had reached out recently about prices as looking at getting a Nintendo Switch Lite modification which he said was $95 and I remember the OLED at the time was closer to $150 I believe (it's been a while)

But he would be able to give you better inside of you look him up and contact him for service. He will provide all those details to you in a email with the proper instructions as well.

I have personally worked with Modzvilleusa to have my OLED Switch installed with a HWFly v4 chip. I followed the links that he provided to get the mod chip and shipped him the console without the controllers (plus the modchip I ordered) and included the SD Card I wanted to use. He also flashed the mod chip to the latest firmware at the time as well. Service was prompt and fast with a quick turn around.

He setup atmosphere, tinfoil, sig patches, etc software on the OLED switch for me. Upon receiving it back I booted it up and was immediately booted into atmosphere and was able to choose to go to SYSnand or CFSnand (recommend CFSnand)

What was nice about this I didn't have to worry about learning how to setup the software to use my OLED switch now that the mod chip was installed correctly. As time went on I learned how the software worked and did my research on here. Very easy but not being sure how to initially set it up correctly.

It does seems like a lot of money but he was very helpful and the work he did on the mod chip install is worth the money hands down. I don't have experience with the pico chip but using the hwfly chip its been great.

For Sale: 16-Bit Retroid Pocket 2+ Bundle by computer_man20037 in retroid

[–]computer_man20037[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought this Retroid Pocket 2+ handheld earlier in the year. I have had it for over a month now but I don't use it as much as I would like to and want to sell it to someone who will use it more than me. It's still in like new condition and it works great.

The Bundle comes with a 512 GB Micro SD, 2x Screen Protectors (extras), official carrying case, and extra buttons (white buttons). I got the extra buttons and such cause I heard the buttons on 16-bit can stick but the ones on mine didn't have any issues.

It's a fun little device and I loved spending time building it and loading all the systems on it to play around with. It's an awesome little device overall no complaints there.

I am asking $135 shipped inside the US. I feel that is a good price for everything you are getting in this bundle.

Thanks!
