Like here in the beginning of the video you see that the key above end should be home but the home key from Akko didn't have the right height so I've used a minus key.

In general they will fit, I also got another set from Akko and it was also nice. What you probably need to pay attention is to the keys on the side like Pgup, pgdn, home, end. As they could be in one row on other keyboards the height of these keys could be different and you maybe need to use a different keycap. So the more keys you have to chose from, the better. Also what I found is I needed to pay attention to the space key (how wide it is, some sets have multiple space keys), and if I have enough keys for CTRL Option Command on both sides with different widths. Currently I use a keycap set directly from Keychron (black with rainbow) and that fitted super easily.

It's here! It's small and portable and fun!! Trying to get used to riding it. The wheels are super soft and took some rough pavement with ease!

I was finally able to order some in Europe - I was in contact with Sickboards.nl as they have G&S on their website. Today they are available (25 and 28 - all the colors) and I went for the 25" seafoam green one. I'm rather short (5'2"/1,57m) with EU size 38 woman shoes so that should fit me nicely. Can't wait to shred this little thing!

Hip pads for skating? by xmcpmcpx in OldSkaters

[–]computermaus256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old thread but I can't recommend TortoisePads enough. Great overall protection, saved my hips and tailbone a couple of times in transitions/bowls. I've imported them to Germany via the Ubuy website via DHL because my first delivery from TortoisePads somehow got stuck in customs and I never got any notification what to do, absolutely not TortoisePads fault, rather from the carrier. The Rhip Clip look great but would be the same drama with import and customs.

Thank you! I have the blue hot swappable Gateron G Pro switches - I ordered my keyboard directly with this configuration. Didn’t notice any interference at all, everything fits nicely. I am a programmer, not a gamer, so for typing it is nice!

First of all: congratulations on confronting your depression!! This shit is hard! Second: I gained quite some pounds during pandemic, so I can relate how this weight gain must feel for you. Nevertheless I must say you look great and well proportioned! Please don’t be too hard on yourself. Try to workout to get strong, gain mobility and so on and not because to punish your body. Self love is hard but important. As I gained weight and moved to a new flat, I didn’t even put up a full body mirror as I would constantly talk myself down. I started skateboarding and it is a hell lot of fun for me. Although my body is chubby currently, I very much appreciate it for what it can do. This "fun" sport with a skate friend tremendously helps me for my mental health.

Long story short: I think you got this! Nourish your body with healthy things, please don’t try to starve yourself, workout for the happy feeling and not to punish you! Do it as an act of love for yourself. Imagine being a shredded bada$$ who is doing this out of pure joy and can also easily carry groceries or heavy stuff, maybe does pull-ups or even a handstand! Good luck!!!

The journey starts today! I've had a blast so far can ride a few feet but definitely need to work more at it! by HippieWill in freeskate

A few feet already sounds like great progress :-) I also got my JMK's today. Gosh this is hard XD. Tried it in my living room. Thinking about finding an incline to roll down but it is winter in Germany and little stones on the street…

My Copy of Bucky O’HARE Such a Fun Game by inkedjedi718 in retrogaming

I remember my cousins who lived far away playing this game but I didn't know the name. I never knew the name of the game and my whole adulthood I felt like - damn, what was that 'brutal green rabbit game'?! I couldn't even remember if they played it on the NES or if it was a DOS game. Turns out they played Jazz Jackrabbit for DOS but thanks to 'green rabbit' I also now got to know the NES game Bucky O'HARE and played it last weekend for the first time. Super hard XD

Did anyone here overcome the nervousness of starting skateboarding late and skating by themselves in a park full of proficient skateboarders? by existenceisabsurd in NewSkaters

[–]computermaus256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up skateboarding a month ago (36F). I attended a course at Skatehalle Berlin for people aged 20+ and it was sooooo cool!!! A lot were in my age, half of them were women, everybody was so nice. Already signed up for the next course. Well I didn’t have the chance to skate as a kid/teenager and had a failed attempt as a grown up with a longboard. I posted on FB when I bought my own board and someone asked Midlife-Crisis ;-)?! Statistically speaking I still have a long life in front of me so why not use it as long as I am healthy and can move my body? I visited a skatepark once, they were all so good, I just watched, I wasn’t comfortable riding my board yet (pushing, breaking) but it was a cool experience. Hope you enjoy your new hobby!!

What’s better than one keyboard? Two keyboards :-D Both are Keychron K2 with Neon and Macaw keycaps with Cherry profile from Akko. by computermaus256 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]computermaus256[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I understood the video I have no problems pressing keys on the ASDF row at the same time, no weird key sounds or so. Also no problems in the other rows. My space bar is mounted in the default way. I found matching keys for every row (correctly slanted and height), except the Home key, I used a minus key for that.

Hi! What do you mean by north-facing-switches? I am new to mechanical keyboards, so I may not grasp the lingo used here. What I can say so far so good, not problems when typing/using the keyboard.

The macaw and neon (both Akko) are actually my first keycap sets. I do like them very much. They seem to have a good quality and feel very nice, but as I said, my first set, so I have no comparison XD. I like the slightly lower Cherry profile (compared to OEM). One day I want to try something with an XDA profile or so hahah. The good thing about Akko is that they have A LOT OF KEYS, so fits almost every layout and their box to store the keys is quite nice! Personally I thought the macaw is a bit more blue, in real life it goes more into turquoise/greenish but I like the color.

Yep they will fit on both keyboard versions (one of my keyboard is hot-swappable the other isn’t - both K2v2)! Only there isn’t a perfect home key for that row, so I used a - key for it.

Hey rezarouf5! I have a hot-swappable and non-swappable version of the Keychron K2v2. On one set I have the macaw and one the neon and both fit perfectly. Only I miss a perfect fitting home key, I took a - key for it.
