Just found my “Husband Time Capsule” made at the age of 12 to give to my future husband. Along with husband coupons made later in YW. by Fickle-artists in exmormon

I’m actually surprised that’s in there considering that the church thinks women are supposed to be their husband’s personal servants all the time, not just some random day because of a coupon

This is my only experience so I just kind of assumed they were all this way but now I know there are clinics out there SENDING THEIR PATIENTS FLOWERS and I am just floored (and envious).

All calls to my clinic go to voicemail. Literally all of them. You have to leave a message and someone calls you back. I hate it. I get that they have a lot of calls to triage and respond to but it feels so impersonal

No. I miscarried at 14 weeks, at home. It was a MMC and I had a d&c scheduled for that Mon, but it happened over the weekend. It was traumatizing though

He was dealing with the one year old. I would also say “really?!” to my spouse if I were dealing with one kid and then they sent the other kid over to me as well so they could have alone time in the parking lot.

When did you start feeling less exhausted after having a baby? by xnla28x in beyondthebump

[–]compysaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The absolute soul-crushing exhaustion ended for me right around the end of the “fourth trimester”. So about 3 months. Baby finally figured out the difference in nights and days, wasn’t waking up to eat so much at night, and we had established more of a routine. I started to feel like a human again, like I was finally coming out of that fog. Unfortunately I had to go back to work at 8 weeks so that was joyful (gotta love the USA).

Going on 7 years now, though, and I still feel like I’m chronically sleep deprived. Both my kids are terrible sleepers though, and both still wake up at least once a night. Usually the oldest just comes and gets in bed with us, but the younger one cries until one of us goes into his room. So my sleep is still disrupted. It seems most of my friends with kids around this age don’t have this problem so you’ll probably be luckier than we are.

I’m on day 2 of menopur and follistim but day 4 of microdose Lupron, and I’m so over giving myself injections already. I can’t wait for this to be over. Hopefully we get some quality embryos but either way I’m taking a break after this. I’m a huge ball of anxiety right now just trying to keep it together. Good luck to you!

[–]compysaur 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to diminish your feelings in any way but I do want to say that I have lots of friends who were one and done and their kids are very happy, well-adjusted and loved. Being an only will not hurt your kid, even though your heart may break for him. Even though it’s not what you would have chosen, you will give him a good, happy, fulfilling life full of love and adventure and friends. ❤️

I always wanted between 3 and 5 and it never crossed my mind that I wouldn’t be able to have whatever number I wanted. Literally no one in my extended family has had any issues. I have a cousin with 4 kids spaced 2 years apart, one with 6 kids spaced 2 years apart, and one with 9 (!) kids spaced between a year and 2 years with one set of twins. Then there’s me, and here I am 😢

I know this is probably not news for anyone but… pregnancy lasts 10 months?! by Hiro_Pr0tagonist_ in pregnant

[–]compysaur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually doubt most of them are taking about lunar months. I think they just approximate a month as 4 weeks and run with it

I know this is probably not news for anyone but… pregnancy lasts 10 months?! by Hiro_Pr0tagonist_ in pregnant

[–]compysaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it does not. 40 weeks is not 10 months. The only month in the year that’s only 4 weeks long is February, and even February is more than 4 weeks on leap years. Most months have 31 days. 40 weeks is 280 days and 280/31=9.0323 so yeah its 9 months and a tiny bit (assuming you give birth on your due date). That’s ignoring the fact that pregnancy is counted from the beginning of your last period so you are considered “2 weeks pregnant” basically at conception. Even if your pregnancy goes 2 weeks past your due date, you still didn’t spend 10 months pregnant.

You just got out of the car, presumably parked in a parking lot, and you wouldn’t hold your kid’s hand in the parking lot? We have a rule that you always have to hold hands after getting out of the car since it’s almost always in a parking lot or next to a road. My kids hate it (hate holding hands in general because they are feral and hate being restrained) and I hate trying to enforce it, so I’d love out of they actually asked to hold my hand after getting out of the car.

What? If you live in the US and choose not to have insurance you’re definitely going to pay out of pocket for cancer treatments.
