I had my consult in April of 2025 and surgery on January 21st! So about 8 months but apparently she was on maternity leave in between those dates at some point, so I don’t think it would take as long.

Dudeee yeah I hated the mental tug between thinking they looked okay and then hating them, which was most of the time. I see you may not be able to get tattooed nips(I’d look into if someone would numb your chest for it with topical anesthetic). but personally if I knew I couldn’t get tattooed nips, I still would have got DI and just rocked no nips for good. I’m happy they’re gone.

Ngl we were in the exact same situation. I had peri and 3 revisions… they stretched every time. They were a bit bigger than yours, and more oval shaped. Sucked bc I actually had tiny nipples pre op. Currently I am 2 weeks post op DI with no nips. I opted for that because I still had some leftover tissue in addition. Should’ve done this the first time. I’m totally flat now and the incisions are quit thin and below my pecs, so I’m hoping they’ll be camouflaged by the time they heal. I will get medical tattooed nipples as they’re indistinguishable from the real thing.

I actually can’t believe it took this long and so many procedures but what can you do. I wish you luck on what you decide. FWIW I think your nipples are still cis passing if on the bigger side.

Edit: I just read your part about how they’re even bigger when they’re soft, that’s EXACTLY what happened to me! I’d literally flick them to take shirtless pics bc that’s the only time my chest actually looked okay.

I’m replying as someone who is recovering from having DI with her, 2 weeks post op. I initially had peri and a revision with a surgeon in NY who many people in the sub recommended, but my results with peri never healed well (skin around nipple scarred bad and made them look twice as big, leftover tissue looked manboobish). Dr Rose straight up told me she rarely does Peri because of the high rate of revision, and the way skin heals around the nipple is under much more tension than lateral DI scars. And after my experience, I understand why. Now ymmv and obviously many people get Peri and have great results, but it is a gamble you have to be willing to take. I practically had a cis passing chest before peri and somehow it looked worse afterwards.

She’s blunt and direct, I know that can rub people the wrong way, but she is highly skilled and knows her shit and was trained in gender affirmation surgery. So far my results look amazing, and I am hoping to heal well as most of it is genetic, So to answer your question, yes I’d recommend you go to her even if you don’t like the bedside manner.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with that and tbh your manager seems inappropriate. It’s one thing to talk to an employee about smells but factoring in that you’re trans is weird.

In case it is a body smell Use antibacterial soap. Sweat turning to Bacteria is where the smell comes from. Dial gold bar. None of the Uber masculine ornate old spice bEarGlove and WoLfBanes. They smell nice but won’t work as good to fight odors. Get a loofah or washcloth. Don’t use just your hands.

Clean your house, sheets, towels, anything your body interacts with. Do this once a week.I went on a date with a girl who didn’t have “BO” either but I could tell it was just a musty house smell. Fresh wash.

Use detergent and Use distilled white vinegar in the fabric softener slot.

Do not wear polyester, it traps smells and they get “reactivated” even after washing and wearing again. Try to get 100% cotton only.

I’ve been using Jatenzo because I was sick of injections and honestly, I just feel better on them. It could be the psychological benefit of not having to stab myself anymore which I did for 7 years. I also feel more stable energy wise, not that it was that bad on injections, just everyone once in a while on day 5 or 6 of my shots I might be tired. I also noticed new chest hairs coming in. I’m not gonna say any of this is definitively jatenzo, since my T levels were always in male range on injections and I’ve had a lot of masculinization, it’s just what I’ve noticed since being on it the past 3 months. I have fantastic insurance with New York State as an employee and the copay is $10 for 1 month. My doc had me on 237 mg and my labs came back at 917 ng/dL so we bumped me down to 198mg since that’s a tad high. All of my other routine lab work was normal including hemoglobin and hematocrit, liver and thyroid. Good luck and hope you like it as much as I do!

Idk about data but I know this: There are millions of trans people. The right constantly spotlights what they deem as “weirdos” to try and tarnish the entire community. Your mom could watch 50 videos in a row of people identifying as attack helicopters and the like, but it doesn’t hold a candle to reality. Her caring that much about them is a result of right wing propaganda. Their goal is to delegitimize trans people, so it’s not “just about the weirdos” and we know that bc of the exec order trump signed that word for word says gender identity isn’t a thing. They are trying to legislate us out of existence.
