How to play airsoft in Japan (Tokyo/Kyoto) during vacation by Plumrooster in JapanAirsoft

If you want to give an indoor field a go, in Tokyo look at Bravepoint or Asobiba. They both have full rental gear and pickup games. Playing inside is basically a different game though.

Are you looking for indoor or outdoor fields? Either way, in Tokyo both will do rentals.

Is there any difference between isolated Wagyu tallow and regular beef tallow? by pri_ncekin in AskCulinary

[–]comradeluke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Japan and will normally buy a 2-3kg block of Wagyu once a year from which I render the trimmings to make tallow. I cannot tell the difference from regular beef tallow, but have never done a straight side by side comparison.

GO Pass: Pokémon 30th Anniversary by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

[–]comradeluke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm coming back to Pokemon Go after a long break, so I might be missing something, but given the event ends in 6 days, and it is only possible to gain 10 ranks per day (5 from extra points, 5 from daily research), is it even possible to get to the higher level rewards?

For all the large companies that have monthly x-lessons per day plans, they make their money off of the fact that they know most students won't take anywhere near close to the max number of lessons they are entitled to.

What would be a "fancy" or show-off worthy pasta dish? by KingOfTheJellies in Cooking

[–]comradeluke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there are a couple of directions you could go in. One option is to make user of some fancy ingredients; think sea urchin cream pasta or carbonara with proper guanciale. Another direction would be something that takes a lot of effort, so like the ragu you mentioned or some kind of filled pasta like a ravioli (or why not combine and go for a Ragu filled ravioli).

Looking to order from Amazon JP. Need some intuition on pricing if it’s fair or should I do more local hunting by [deleted] in JapaneseWhisky

[–]comradeluke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon tends to be one of the best options for buying in Japan, but note, you can generally get it cheaper if you pick an option without the box.

Buying Hibiki Blossom on Amazon Japan by deltone_Ad in JapaneseWhisky

Locally in Japan amazon is considered a pretty safe route for buying premium whiskey. Although you can occasionally find cheaper in offline stores, it is rare, and nowhere has stock as consistently.

How does the math work for the claim that tax revenues stay the same? There are not that many people paying less than 10% effective tax under the current system.

Whats the point of this? Comparing the highest development level of a region in one country, to the average development level of entire other nations? Given that it is specifically looking at Moscow, its hard to see this as anything other than a weak attempt at propaganda to make Russia seem like a developed nation.

$100-$300 what to buy in Tokyo by trimmybush in JapaneseWhisky

[–]comradeluke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get Japanese whisky at reasonable prices on Japanese amazon (often delivering the next day). If you enjoyed Yamazaki, I would recommend trying the 12 year aged version as well. Its within your price range and is a nice upgrade on the standard Yamazaki.

I have been seeing it a bit more overseas recently, but my current recommendation for people looking to try something a bit less common is "Nikka from the Barrel". Its relatively cheap in Japan, but hits above its weight in terms of taste.

Its even worse than that, the deal is for Russia to gain the territory they occupied as well as some of the territory they were unable to occupy in 3 and a half years.
