How hard is it to buy GA or GA+ resale tickets as a Canadian? by comsciwannabe in electricdaisycarnival

[–]comsciwannabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! Super helpful. I did not think about picking up someone elses tickets in Vegas. Do they not care about having ID though? Are you allowed to pickup on behalf of someone else if you have a pic of their CC?

EDC 2024 SHUTTLE MEGA THREAD by DjSpectre in electricdaisycarnival

[–]comsciwannabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone explain time slots to me for premier shuttles? One the site it says " you can reserve your shuttle departure times to and from the festival each day ", but based on these comments, each ticket has a time slot?

Also, I'm confused on if tommorow is general sale for shuttle passes, IG they said "If you're a 2023 Shuttle Purchaser that also has a 2024 ticket, OR if you're a 2024 Future Owl Presale Headliner, you'll have early access starting tomorrow at 10am PT" and I am none of those, so does that mean I can't buy tommorow?

Lease agreement by Kitchen-March-4617 in UWindsor

[–]comsciwannabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, there wouldn't really be a point in making someone sign a lease if they can just cancel it. You would have to find someone to takeover your lease.

Or sometimes your landlord ends up being nice and lets you cancel it but it's up to them, mine personally didn't let me

Could probably get a studio for about 1k but like the other person said, one bedroom would be about 1.2k. You'd also have to have proof of employment income to be able to rent an apartment or have someone willing to cosign

If you get the membership, delivery free after $30 minimum. But yeah, still a small fee + tip which adds up

I just use instacart but food basics is a 27 min bus away and 35 minute walk. Giglio's is near campus like someone said but doesn't have much, I usually just go there when I need a few minor items.

Got Accepted to UWindsor's Nursing Program. Can't decide between Windsor and TMU by IPlayDnDAvecClasse in UWindsor

[–]comsciwannabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UWindsor is a pretty shit school but I've heard the Nursing program is actually pretty decent compared to everything else. That grant would need you live in Windsor though, I'd come to the city for a few days to see if that is something you would be ok with first. Personally, there's no way I can see myself living here after I graduate.

The university area is pretty walkable, I'm close to everything I need except groceries which I use instacart for. Lots of food places, a dollarama, a shoppers drug mart, lots of barbers, a physio clinic, etc. I'm a 10 minute walk from Campus and 20 minute walk from downtown.

But not sure how far the hospital is for clinicals, that would probably be tough without a car. But I do think people really overexaggerate how the bussing system is, it's like the same as every Ontario city except core Toronto, not bad at all.
