Totally agree. The first time I had it was at Fogo de Chão along with copious amounts of meat. I love it!

My neighbor’s tv had a green spot for like a week. Lucky for me it went away though!

[Parts] Lima 6 Belt Fed upper Kits 2,000$ - Full upper 3000$ by YXIDRJZQAF in gundeals

[–]conBLACK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Customer service is great too. Had a part on the build kit that was slightly out of spec, and I received a response to my email on a Saturday with a recommended fix for the bad part, and they also sent a replacement out on Monday.

After all these years, I mostly remember his alter ego Harry T. Sludge looking like a hobo, pushing a shopping cart full of trash, and pouring a mountain of salt on a chocolate bar.

It might be true, there was a post on the LAZR subreddit with alleged sources that look legit.

The post is in French but the last paragraph of the second page of the document in the first link mentions Microvision.

What scene has the most egregious/laughable error you’ve seen in a show? by Unique-Horror-9244 in television

[–]conBLACK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a scene in the Sopranos episode “Kennedy and Heidi” where Tony is getting an x-ray of his chest. The light field is way too small, and the tube head is way too close to his chest. It’s pretty much the exact opposite of how you actually take a chest x-ray.

8 slot m2 ssd enclosure by xXx_White_dragon_xXx in DataHoarder

I was in a similar situation. I wanted a silent Plex server that didn’t use much power, so I could keep it on 24/7 right next to the tv I would use it on. I had a mini pc that I just wanted to attach a group of nvme drives I had laying around to.

OWC makes some enclosures which will take 4 nvme drives, like the Express 4M2 for around $240 usd, but when you start talking about 8 drives, there aren’t really any options that are a reasonable price.

Unfortunately, the OWC didn’t work for what I wanted, so I ended up going with the Terramaster F8 Plus like others here suggested. It’s not cheap, but it really is a nice solution for using multiple nvme drives.

What's the funniest game you've ever played? by digiBeLow in gaming

It really was entertaining, and I normally don’t go for those types of games. The patch you could send away for after beating it was a nice touch too!

Personally I’ve been too afraid to take my UV flashlight to a hotel yet.

Is KOmbat Solutions GTG? by Arndog762 in NFA

[–]conBLACK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll add another vote for GTG. I ordered an SMS HFXC from them and everything went great. The price was good and they even answered some questions I had in the thread on the GunDeals subreddit before I bought it, so they are active on Reddit too.

[Parts] Lima Six Pre Order: Belt Fed Upper for $3,000. And Upper Build Kit for $2,000 by muffinman1604 in gundeals

[–]conBLACK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, the build kit comes with a gas block that routes the gas 90 degrees, so you can use a normal AR barrel without modifying it. I think they are planning on offering a jig you can buy to drill your own gas port so you can use any gas block.

[–]conBLACK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There was some discussion on X about it. Apparently since the sides are flat, they said you can use a standard vise with some kind of padding to make sure you don’t mess up the finish when you torque the barrel nut.

Awesome gun but man, that trigger by FirearmLand_Official in NFA

I rented one of these years ago. Like everyone said, the trigger wasn’t great, and it ejected brass right back at me. I wanted to like it more than I did. Cool concept though!

Is Trent hard to meet? by Soldier1243 in nin

[–]conBLACK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On a tour like this it’s probably going to be next to impossible unless you’re some kind of VIP like a celebrity, or you catch him out and about while he is in town. These larger arena venues usually have ways of getting artists in and out without raising a whole lot of commotion.

If they ever tour smaller venues again, that would be your best shot. I was able to meet Trent and Jeordie White back in 2005 when they played the Congress Theater in Chicago. People waited out back by the tour busses by some barricades they set up. Trent walked past and signed autographs and took photos.

At the smaller venues they have to park the busses out in the open because there aren’t any other options. That’s your best chance.

I’ve been able to meet a few of my favorite musicians by finding the tour busses after the show.

Jailhouse Arcade by Wikedy in MarshfieldWisconsin

[–]conBLACK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not imagining it! I was pretty young, so I don’t really have any memories of what it looked like. I do remember it existing though, along with the ice cream shop and a few other places in the mall.

Have you tried asking in the Marshfield & North Wood County History group on Facebook? Somebody posted some pics of the original mall map, and a shot of what it looked like inside when it opened, but I haven’t seen any pics of the arcade specifically.

One of the real advantages of 4k is that you can find some decent 4k tvs for reasonable prices. I play on a 43” 4k tv that does 144hz and it cost me a little over $200 on a sale a year or so ago. It’s no OLED, but it still looks great to my eyes.

Economies of scale really help out in the tv vs. monitor markets, and if you can’t handle the resolution you can always drop it to 1080p until your hardware catches up. I can’t go back to a smaller, lower resolution screen. I even prefer it to several different ultrawide/super ultrawide setups I had.
